From This Day Forward: Seek God

April 23, 2017

3 A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense.  Proverbs 24:3

10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.  Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.  Proverbs 9:10

4 For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.  Hebrews 3:4

1 Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted.    Psalms 127:1

Build Your Marriage by Loving God First, Spouse Second

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[e] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  Matthew 22:37-39

33 Seek the Kingdom of God[e] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  Matthew 6:33

4 The wicked are too proud to seek God.  They seem to think that God is dead.  Psalm 10:4

6 I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. 7 It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.  1 Corinthians 3:6-7

From This Day Forward:  Do the Work

10 So take this seriously. The Lord has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work.” 1 Chronicles 28:10

Do the Work Individually

  1. Grow Yourself Spiritually
  2. Pray for Your Spouse

14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil[d]? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.   2 Corinthians 6:14-16

7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives,  1 Peter 3:7

Do The Work Together

  1. Pray Together
  2. Worship Together
  3. Read Scripture Together
  4. Be in group Together
  5. Serve Together
