- people were baptized and received the H.S. as grace through the sacraments
- people-- shared with each other, prayed, and broke bread (the Last Supper)
- The Apostles and disciples evangelized, or traveled to far places to teach.
- We can be part of the evangelization, too!
- Christians: baptized people/followers of Jesus Christ
4.4 The Early Church Grows
- saints are disciples (12 were apostles)
- Christians become a “threat” to others and were persecuted, or shunned or rejected
- St. Stephen’s martyrdom with Paul as a bystander
- Paul’s conversion from a persecutor to a preacher (Saul became Paul)
- on the way to Damascus to imprison disciples of Jesus
- the risen Lord appeared to him… His voice
- We can help by supporting missionaries who travel the country or even the world.
- Create/have a prayer space or time to pray as a family.
