1. Annual Swim Team Banquet will be Sunday, May 17 following the Sprint portion of the Distance / Sprint meet at the Four Points Sheraton.  (For Junior and Senior training group swimmers.)  Sign up here.

2. Summer Speedo room reservations make plans and reserve rooms now.

2. Hannah Saiz racing Mesa Pro Series meet.  Hannah raced to a new State and team record in the 100M Fly and just missed going under 60.0!  View results / webcast 

3. Custom Name Cap orders are being taken from 4/23-4/30 at Elsmore.  Please stop in at the store at WSAC or email them your order.  There is a 2 cap minimum because they are custom.  The email is browndeer@elsmoreswim.com

4. Bella’s Schroeder Wear Store Now Open Until May 4th:

• We have structured an online Bella’s Schroeder Wear Store.  Please go to the web site and check out the clothing options.  The ever popular “squid nugget” t-shirt is available, as is the Schroeder hooded sweatshirt.  The online store is now open until May 4th.

To make it easier for parents to receive their order, we have two delivery addresses, one for Schroeder South and one for Schroeder North.  Be sure to indicate if your shipment should go to South or North.  ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY 5/4 TO BE DELIVERED BY 5/15.

5. How To Get Custom Caps, Team Suits And Warm-ups:

The custom Schroeder team caps are ordered through Elsmore Swim Shop at certain times of the year.  Team warm ups and suits can be purchased at the Elsmore Shop at WSAC or from Elsmore online throughout the year.  Contact Elsmore for more info.

Schroeder South

1. Welcome Coach Alex Hallam:

Coach Alex Hallam is our new Schroeder South Senior Coach.  He is the lead coach for Senior 2 and Junior 2.  He will also extensively assist Coach Bob with SS Senior 1 and Junior 1.  SS has been looking for the right person to join the senior staff for the long term, and Alex is excited to be that coach.

Alex has had a long career as a swimmer and has been a full-time coach since 2012.  His coaching experience includes working with age group and senior swimmers.

Alex is a graduate of UW-Green Bay with a degree in Psychology and Human Development. He swam for the Phoenix all four years at UWGB. He competed in distance free, the individual medley, backstroke, and was part of the medley relays. He was named team captain his senior year.  Alex also served as President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 2009-12 where he represented UW-Green Bay student athletes in the Horizon League.

Originally from Wausau, Wisconsin, he attended East High and swam for the Wausau TIDE.  He was part of a record setting team throughout his high school career, highlighted by an All-American high school state championship 200 medley relay team in 2008.

2. How To Get Schroeder Team Equipment:

3. Mail Checks to Matt Miller and Contact Your Swimmers’ Coach Directly:

Please mail all checks to Matt Miller rather than giving them to coaches at practice.  We have not lost a check yet, but practice can get a little hectic.  You can mail them to Matt at the following address:

Also, please contact your swimmer’s lead coach for all questions.  Do not use the Schroeder team email for that reason as it causes much confusion as to who answers your question or if your question was even answered.  So feel free to email your child’s coach or talk to her/him before or after practice.

If interested in a private swim lesson, contact your swimmer’s lead coach.

Please make sure you’re checking the schedule on a daily basis.  If practice is cancelled due to weather or other circumstance, the schedule will be updated immediately, and an email will be sent to each family.
