(Part 1)

The children will grow appreciation of belonging to God.

Who do you belong to?

  1. Gather children on the rug.
  2. Comment on the ways all of them have grown since they first came to in the fall.
  3. Invite the children to tell one thing that they can do now that they were not able to do when school began.
  4. Affirm each child’s contribution by commenting, “How special you are ________. You are God’s child.
  5. Distribute Activity P. 99, and crayons.
  6. Explain how much God loves each one very much.
  7. Ask: Who do you belong to? How would you show others that God loves them too? Why do you want belong to God?

  4. Distribute tongue popsicle stick, glue, and glitter.
  5. Have the children decorate their crosses.
