Title :

1 EXT. SCHOOL - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT

We open with a shot of the school

STUDENT (V.O):

Nothing’s out of the ordinary if a student pays a visit to the nurse’s office, right? Maybe they’re feeling nauseous, unwell, got the common cold, y’know - normal stuff. Though to come back and fall into a coma like that? Never heard of

SOUND: SUSPENSEFUL music abruptly STARTS here and as we cut, the sound BUILDS UP and BEATS

We see an empty HALLWAY and NURSES OFFICE/footage of STUDENT going in OFFICE

CUT

TEXT on screen; “On XX.XX.XX, a student was rushed to a hospital after abruptly losing consciousness”

TRANSITION TO:

2 INT. CANTEEN/CLASSROOM - DAY

CLOSE UP/MEDIUM SHOT

In the following scenes, it is clear that the subjects are each being interviewed

STUDENT:

No one understood what happened, it just happened so out of the blue

TEXT; Fortunately, the student managed to wake up after just two hours in the hospital

3 INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

MEDIUM SHOT/CLOSE UP

INVESTIGATOR:

The doctors reported that it was most likely just the result of poor health - malnutrition and lack of sleep being at play.

People concluded that was that. It’s not uncommon for students to sometimes get too carried away with their studies and neglect their well-being; exam season being near and all that... (more seriously) but, well, when it happened again.

SOUND: BUILDS UP and then BEATS

TEXT; In the same week, another student fell unconscious.

Reenactment of VICTIM COLLAPSING after exiting NURSE’S OFFICE

INVESTIGATOR (CONT’D)

Out the office, into the classroom, passing out, and into the hospital. The pattern became repetitive. Until this time, he never made it out of that hospital.

SOUND: BUILDS UP and then BEATS

TEXT; [VICTIM NAME] passed on the night of XX.XX.XX

INVESTIGATOR:

One’s chance, two’s coincidence - but the thing is you don’t see many coincidences in my line of work.

4 INT. NURSE’S OFFICE - DAY

MEDIUM/COWBOY SHOT

NURSE:

(somber) All fingers pointed at me.

SOUND: BUILDS UP and then BEATS

3 CUT back to INVESTIGATOR

INVESTIGATOR:

Who else had access to all the medicines? Locked them every end of the day, administered them to the students..

4 BACK to NURSE

NURSE

I remember.. I was really tired that day so I closed up the office a little early

SOUND: BUILDS UP and then BEAT

INSERT reenactment of PERP TAMPERING with medicine at a MEDIUM SHOT with their FACE UNSEEN at a slightly LOW ANGLE

3 BACK to INVESTIGATOR

INVESTIGATOR

It felt so open and shut. (more serious) That was until a key piece of evidence came out

5 INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

LONG SHOT

The tone in this scene is completely different. We look up at the subject at a SLIGHTLY HIGH ANGLE

SOUND: MUSIC abruptly CUTS. Other than the talking characters, it is completely SILENT

INTERVIEWER (O.S.):

They were your friend?

PERP’S FRIEND:

(low & hesitant, they sound out of it) Yes. My best friend.

BEAT

INTERVIEWER (O.S):

You said they were mistreated?

FRIEND:

Yes.. yes. They were mistreated

BEAT

INTERVIEWER (O.S):

Were they going to do anything about that?

BEAT

It’s no longer quiet; the MUSIC grows SUSPENSEFUL

FRIEND:

They.. said they’re going to find a way to make them pay. Make them see exactly how desperate they are. Let them experience hell for themselves
