Transformation Drawings
- Using graph paper create a figure that you will use to perform the following transformations on:
- translation
- reflection
- rotation
- dilation
- Identify at least 10 coordinates of the original drawing.
- Use an additional piece of graph paper to draw the new transformed figures.
- Identify the same 10 coordinates in their new location.
Tweets
- Using your camera, take pictures of real world transformations. Tweet the pictures to the hashtag #mrskmath

- All four of the transformations must be included.
- An example must be given, along with a practice problem for your classmates to complete.
- Each example must give coordinates that will be used to perform each of the four transformations.
Tessellations
- Using graph paper, create a tessellation.
- Identify the original polygon used, and the movements that must be completed to continue the pattern.
- Color the tessellation.
Pins

- Pin items that the transformations can easily be identified in.
- The items must be real world pictures, not educational search or google search pictures.
- Pin at least three of each transformations.
- Provide a detailed description of each transformation, along with the following information in the pin description.
- The degrees rotated must be identified.
- The dilation growth factor must be identified.
- The reflection must be identified by describing the movement and the line of reflection.
- The translation must be described and the line identified
Desserts (5 pts. each)
Transformation Worksheet
- Complete the transformation worksheet.
Transformation City
- Using graph paper or any online or computer program approved by Mrs. Kenney, create a new city that contains all of the properties of the four transformations.
- Identify the coordinates of each original structure, along with the new coordinates of the transformed structure.
- The degrees rotated must be identified.
- The dilation must be identified.
- The reflection must be identified by describing the movement and the line of reflection.
- The translation must be described.
- You must include at least two of each transformation in the city layout.
Glogster/Prezi Presentation
- Sign up for a free student Glogster account or Prezi account.
