Ex 11B Your PRINCIPALS of Art Book Digital Photo roomf10.com
Objectives: Students are going to explore the Principles of Art and photograph at least one example of each principal. They will then collage all of them together in one image and label them.
Standards: 1.0 Artistic Perception, 1.1, 2.3, 3.2
This is your second off campus exercise. Around your house, inside your house, or neighborhood, find and photograph the principals of art listed below. Your photographs can be abstract or realistic. Try to be creative and think how your photograph could be pleasing to the eye in terms of how it is cropped, what you are focusing on, depth and field, and the emotion or mood you want to get across. Take more pictures than you need so that you can turn in your best shots.
Edit and improve your photos in photoshop. Complete the critique form below:

Description:
Tips: Shoot with a low f step (4.0 or 5.6, depending on your lens). Remember to light meter every picture so you get properly exposed images. For ISO I would recommend 400 or so if you are outdoors and it’s sunny.
Students need to be able to explain what each principal is- we have already written about them in your warmups and done an exercise where you learned about them, so this should be in your memory by now
