Criteria to consider prior to listing on CCEDK exchange

Listing a crypto currency on our exchange is not without costs and time invested in a project like this, not to mention the work ahead promoting this new addition, we would therefore appreciate your help in answering the below questions prior to a possible listing on our exchange, as it can help us decide whether it will be a mutually successful listing.

It is very important for future success that a co operation is based on trust and interest in making things happen for the benefit of both our exchange, but certainly also for the altcoin and its community in question.

I thank you once again for your participation and understanding for the below mentioned set of criteria to be considered. Yours sincerely Ronny Boesing, CEO, CCEDK Aps

Proactive contribution capabilities: Currently we’re lacking in C++ developers for core client development (aside from the lead dev), but new services/websites/apps are popping up every couple weeks for Gridcoin. There is also a foundation which could be used to fund development.

Short description of altcoin in question with 5 strong selling points.

Gridcoin securely rewards BOINC computation using the Distributed Proof of Research (DPOR) reward mechanism, which is a combination of Proof of BOINC (POB) and Proof of Stake (POSv2).

BOINC computation can be virtually any kind of distributed computing process (ASIC/GPU/CPU/Sensor/Etc). Examples of BOINC project purposes are folding protiens, attempting to solve cancer/aids/ebola/malaria, mapping the milkyway, cracking remaining enigma codes, searching for extraterrestrial life (SETI), searching for asteroids, predicting climate change, etc. Check out the list of whitelisted BOINC projects currently rewarded by the Gridcoin network.

5 Strong selling points:

  • Distributed proof of research rewards thousands of users for their validated BOINC computation on top of Proof of Stake. BOINC currently has 250k active BOINC users, and 3.5M registered users – there is the real possibility for huge quantities of compute power to be directed at BOINC projects in return for gridcoin rewards.
  • Our list of verified BOINC CPIDs could potentially be used as a new sharedropping vector (currently 2k verified CPIDs out of 3.5mil in existence) for newly generated UIA in the future: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/44611-monitoring-selfburn-addresses-for-custom-beacons/
  • Anyone can create a BOINC project & campaign for addition to the whitelist. Ethereum limits developers to smart contracts – a BOINC project grants developers the ability to distribute work units which have real compute ability without bloating the blockchain.
  • The Gridcoin client has an inbuilt voting mechanism used to resolve disputes/debates and to decide which projects to whitelist – users can vote with balance/magnitude/balance+magnitude/CPID count.
  • Since BOINC work units can be ran on CPU/GPU/ASIC/Sensors, there is work available for everyone not just those who can afford ASICs. Likewise, since anyone can create a BOINC project, if all CPU projects were ported to GPU/FPGA a new project could easily be spun up to provide work for CPU users.

Why would being added to CCEDK make a difference?

What points make future co operation stand out as unique?

Currently, on-ramps are difficult for Gridcoin – users have to use FIAT to buy BTC to then buy GRC, plus we are not listed on any European exchanges yet.

A ‘GRIDCOIN’ MPA (https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/asset/GRIDCOIN) has been created on the Bitshares platform, we’re currently awaiting integration into Xeroc’s pricefeed script before the MPA is active. Once our MPA is active, being added to CCEDK will create a bridge between the Gridcoin blockchain and the Gridcoin MPA (Gridcoin blockchain -> open.GRC -> GRIDCOIN).

Future BOINC project owners (or gridcoin users) may distribute new UIA based on specific BOINC project contributions. It’s a new sharedropping vector that doesn’t involve handling private keys (bitshares style sharedrop - based on past coin distribution) or using a 3rd party service (facebook by auroa - equal distribution).

What other exchanges are already offering the altcoin?

List also here which ones

Are offering which Fiat currencies.

https://holytransaction.com/

https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_grc

https://c-cex.com/?p=grc-btc

https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-GRC

Currently, only c-cex offers the grc-usd trading pair.

What media connections are used for publishing to insure getting noticed?

Which ones do you have a strong relationship with?

Media connections? It’s largely viral marketing at the moment – posting on reddit to recruit new users, and using our forums/irc to discuss BOINC and further development.

We’ve had some exposure on several of the main cryptocurrency websites, and recently had a mention on the daily decrypt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwK6cAKenXc

Our main successful advertising is performed over on boincstats.com – regularly brings BOINC users from other teams to team Gridcoin.

I believe some of our users have ties to the merkle.

What amount of users is expected to join CCEDK with a future listing?

Like what unique users connected to altcoin are expected to register within first month?

Unsure, but we have had approximately 800-900 join the Gridcoin system (pool + solo) within the last week due to a single reddit post, so hopefully we’ll continue to gain popularity.

We have the ability to email our entire user base (at least the users who contribute to BOINC projects within team gridcoin that is).

We could encourage users to sign up for CCEDK & display links to CCEDK throughout multiple gridcoin websites.

Are you able to donate amount of altcoin for promotional purposes?

Like free giveaway to each user registereing etc. How much?

We could potentially use foundation funds for promotional purposes, yes.

Depends – how much have other alt coins distributed in the past?

Are you willing to invest an amount of your currency to CCEDK?

If so, how much?

I have placed several orders for OBITs (2.5k) and OPENPOS (5k), I’m confident in the future of bitshares & related projects.

Are you ready to pay in your altcoin to be listed?

We ask here the equivalent to minimum 4 BTC in your coin in question.

It would have to be put to a vote to spend foundation funds, if you’re interested in pursuing the addition of Gridcoin to CCEDK I can write up a proposal to the Gridcoin community & create the foundation poll for users to vote on.

I’ll write up a proposal & create a poll.

What "secrets" could a future co operation bring to the table.

Synergy based activities, assets etc. added with a listing.

I’ve been looking into making Gridcoin’s Neural Network (Distributed BOINC statistics) a new sharedrop vector for User Issued Assets (a sharedropping vector that would not require user’s gridcoin private keys).

It’s still early days – currently working on adding the op_return code in, then I will need to figure out how to create the equivalent of a ‘sendmany’ transaction to several thousand Bitshares users who have matched their “BOINC CPID : Bitshares account” in the Gridcoin network.

We already have a “Project Rain” functionality available within the client, and available over on my website (grcnode.co.uk) – allowing you to generate a sendmany transaction to thousands of users based on their contribution to individual BOINC projects or all projects combined. The sharedrop vector is an extension of this idea.

Most likely what would be the case for existing gridcoin users, is that they would be directed to sign up for a BTS account using a web wallet (Openledger) to save time downloading the BTS blockchain.

What amount of merchants are to date connected with altcoin.

Will these merchants be possible to connect with CCEDK as fiat exchange.

Currently, we’ve only got the one merchant platform: https://cointopay.com/

Hopefully merchant support will grow in the future, but my main focus is aiding in the development of Gridcoin & finding uses for GRC within the wallet.

We’re currently being integrated into the Coinomi wallet too.
