Planning a party and not sure where to start? This guide is designed to assist you in ensuring you have a stress-free party and ensure you don’t forget anything!
Let’s first start with the basics: Who is the party for? What is the occasion? Next, let’s move to the beginning stages of planning your party.

SETTING THE LOCATION
Where will this party be held? The easiest and common solution if it’s a birthday party is to have it at your home. Another idea for outside the home dependent on weather would be parks that rent pavilions that you can rent for the day that have picnic tables typically power and possibly even a grill. (However each park is individual in what they provide, so be sure to pick up the phone and give them a ring to see about reserving a pavilion, letting them know you need power and will have an inflatable on-site with a reputable company)
This sometimes makes it easier for the host because cleanup is isolated primarily to that area and your home is not getting a mess in the process! If you are looking for other ideas to have a party/event you might want to look into some local community centers, fire stations typically have large meeting areas, as well as country clubs, golf resorts, hotels, and some American legions as well.
INVITE LIST
We are at the beginning of a phase where it is not as often that you get actual paper invitations – of course, you can do that…but more common is online e-invitations and Facebook invites. 3 Monkeys Inflatables offers an online e-vite style invitation that you can email out to your guests. Whatever your way to invite make sure you keep a list of all attending to make it easy to keep track as it gets close! You can even make a quick Google form/doc invitation that will tie the responses right into your Google account to easily track!
FOOD/REFRESHMENTS
Thinking about the type of party/location will help you set the menu on what you might have for food/refreshments. If you are having it at home/park/local community center/American legion/fire hall you might do many different items like a potluck type of look or hotdogs/hamburgers on the grill. There are so many places that you can pick up bulk food as well, including some large chain restaurants such as Chili’s, Chick fil A, and many others. Don’t forget Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Giant, Weis, and other grocery store options as an easy location to get a lot of food without breaking the budget!
