ALWAYS PLEASE FOLLOW THE RRISD BYOD GUIDELINES IN THE STUDENT HANDBOOK (PAGES 117-118 ON THIS DIGITAL COPY)

When bringing your own device to school sometimes it can be difficult to connect to the guest network. That is because there is limited number of IP addresses available for this network. Don’t worry because there is a solution to this problem. Once you have registered your device for the BYOD program, you will no longer have to fight for an IP address on the RRISD-guest network and your device will automatically join to the RRISD wireless network when you are near an access point. All you have to do is follow read this and select the appropriate directions depending upon the operating system of your device.

When joining the RRISD network with your own device, you will first be selecting the RRISD-Guest network as your wi-fi connection. If no IP addresses are available, you will have some difficulty connecting and you will have to wait for one to become available. Instead of logging into the network as a registered user, please select that you would like to register for BYOD:

After you have selected this link you will be taken through the installation of a certificate. This will be different depending upon what type of device you are using. Please keep in mind that students are allowed to register a maximum of 2 devices. Click here if you have reached your maximum number of devices and need to replace a registered device.
