Alice in Wonderland starts with Alice picnicking outside in a garden setting (Gradle = flower that doesn't know she's beautiful).

A white rabbit runs by (White Rabbit tease #1). She chases it down “the rabbit hole” (Entering a Black Hole > All Time Low). She falls down down and now is literally Down in a Hole.

The first thing she sees is a cookie that says “Eat Me” on it. Impossible (“i'm standing here in the kitchen, wonder if i'm hungry at all, right there, open the icebox, wonder if i can eat it all.”

After eating the cookie, Alice grows very tall. She's upset about her predicament and starts to cry. You Should Be Glad

“She is uncontrollable

Let her cry, let her cry, let her cry

She is inconsolable

Let her cry, let her cry, let her cry

We don't have to do this

We just walk away from here”

Proving Ground (find out just how TALL I AM…) and Riders on the Storm represent the deluge her giant tears cause in Wonderland, it's like a storm and when she gets smaller she's literally a rider on the storm she created.

Tall Boy = she's tall! Also she drinks a bottle (not quite a tallboy) to get smaller.

Set 2:

Now she's small and walking through a garden of talking flowers (Greta = flower child).

She happens upon a caterpillar (Conrad the Caterpillar) who is smoking a hookah and asks her questions like… WHO… R….U. (Who Are You).

The caterpillar tells her to eat the mushroom which makes her grow or shrink. She eventually gets the right size. (Protein Drink = “And a mushroom that was so very very nasty in my mouth”).

Now she runs into the Cheshire cat who tells her to find the Mad Hatter

Free Somehow =  “A smile appears in the tree branch there, Take the Hatter's words in jest, Don't wake her up, she could be dreaming you, Just taking a little rest, a couple of moments rest”

The Cheshire Cat is the “little black kitty” in Pilgrims.

She ends up at the Mad Hatter's tea party which is just bonkers and Crazy.

Alice is now no closer to getting home than she was at the start and is now totally despondent. You're Lost Little Girl. 

The Cat reappears and gets her to find the Queen of Hearts. When she finds her, the White Rabbit is there.

Now she is in the court of the queen and king which is essentially a deck of cards, which is what Jack is all about.

The queen is very ill tempered, she's a Red Hot Mama and her King is a little dude, literally a King Baby.

Of course, the White Rabbit is there and we finally get the full White Rabbit which is essentially the Alice in Wonderland story.

Alice is put on trial and things deteriorate quickly. She runs to escape with everyone following her. She sees a door and looks through the keyhole and sees herself sleeping on the other side (was it all a dream? Dream Song).

To get out of Wonderland, Alice must go through the hole she came from originally, if not metaphorically. From the bottom looking up, the dark hole is a Black Hole Sun above her. To get out of Wonderland once and for all, she must Climb to Safety.
