The Grand Tournament Expansion

Blizzard announced the next major card expansion for Hearthstone, The Grand Tournament! Basic details:

• The Grand Tournament launches this August.
• 132 new cards!
• Lots of new cards which will effect hero powers!
• New Keyword: Inspire! Activates every time you use your hero power.
• 50 Pack pre-purchase available next week for $49.99 USD. Gives you a card back. Not available after expansion releases.

Hearthstone 2.8.9554 patch notes

GENERAL

• The following card backs have been added: -- Darkspear - Acquired by reaching Rank 20 or higher in Ranked Play mode during the month of July.

BUG FIXES

• Improvements have been made to Spectator Mode which include resolving the issue that could cause a card with a "Choose One" option to become stuck on screen.
• Fixed an issue with Rexxar's golden hero portrait animation.
• The game will no longer freeze on the splash screen after being away for a while.
• You can once again search for cards that contain diacritics without specifying their proper marks.
• Fixed an issue with volume sliders.
• You will no longer get stuck on the matchmaking screen after a Tavern Brawl with a friend ends.
• Various audio, graphical, and UI issues have been resolved.

Hello fellow angry chickens.

I want to share my luck of games. I had heard similar stories on TAC so I'm willing to bet a few of you can relate to my luck here.

So today I was running my beefed up variant of dragodin for this weeks tavern brawl. (10 mana turn one) when the match maker put me up against a warlock. Can you see where this is going? ;)

I get the second turn and draw a noble sacrifice, humility, azure drake and a sludge belcher. I mulligan my noble sacrifice and humility and draw Nefarian.

Knowing the past stories about jaraxas and nefarian I quietly lol to myself while to my amazement the warlock plays jaraxas and hits me in the face while calling down an infernal. Knowing the possibilities of what nefarian can bring I play him to which I receive a sacrificial pact and cry out in excitement. I immediately play the sacrificial pact killing jaraxas and ending the game on turn one for a total game length of amout 30 seconds.

Ahhhh, Cluck!

First, I wanted to tell you guys that I opened my Galaxy Gifts packs and received an Angry Chicken, which I feel like means Ben Brode is saying he loves your podcast as much as I do.

I know we haven't seen all (or even most) of the cards from the expansion, but do you think any new archetypes will emerge from the expansion? I'm thinking like "Inspire" decks or maybe even, gasp, Pirate decks to make cards like Captain's Parrot or Captain Greenskin valuable outside of a gits and shiggles deck?
