WA 1440s, Metrics and Short Metrics. Details of these are given by the table below, stating the number of dozen shot at each distance. Cells in blue are shot on at 122cm target face, cells in yellow are shot on an 80cm target face.

The recommended rounds for each category of archers shooting the 12 dozen rounds is given below. All archers are welcome to choose to shoot a shorter distance if they would prefer to.

  • Experienced Open - WA 1440 (90m)
  • Experienced Female and Novice Open - WA 1440 (70m)
  • Novice Female - WA 1440 (60m)

Annex Field, Coombe Dingle Sports Complex, Coombe Lane, BS9 2BJ.

Timings:

Assembly at 10:30 for 12 dozen rounds, 14:00 for 6 dozen rounds. Please arrive before this to ensure you are ready to shoot at this time.

Awards:

Awards will be given to archers shooting the lowest handicap across all archers in their category of bowstyle and gender, irrespective of round shot. There will not be separate awards for novices.

Social:

There will be a social in the evening following the shoot, more details to come soon.

Getting There:

Car: Free on-site parking is available.

Train: To Temple Meads then get a bus.

Bus: 3, 4 or 1 buses all get to within walking distance of Coombe Dingle from the city centre.

Venue Information:

Wheelchair accessibility is dependent on weather conditions.

Toilets, a water fountain and a vending machine are available on-site.

Special Requirements:

Please ensure the Tournament Organiser is aware of any special requirements you may have.

Notes:

  • This is not a record status competition.
  • All bosses are foam
  • No full carbon arrows may be shot, with the exception of those with aluminium tape applied to them. UoB Archery can provide this.
  • All lost arrows must be reported ASAP.

Archery GB:

All archers shooting must have valid Archery GB membership.
