Extra academic help is provided for students by invitation or appointment on the following Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.  Enter through gym doors. TARC tickets are available for students who need them. Bring a snack and drink for a mid-day break.

Saturday School Dates: Jan 13 & 27, Feb 10 & 24, March 3 & 17, April 14 & 28.

IC Parent Portal

Be sure you have access to Infinite Campus Parent Portal. You can change/add email addresses from this site. If you do not have access, you may receive your IC portal activation code and directions by emailing campus.portal@jefferson.kyschools.us and provide your name, child's name(s) and contact phone number. If you want a login for both parents/guardians, please provide both names. Once your info is verified you will receive an email with login instructions.



Do you have questions about your child's grades? The first avenue is to communicate (email or phone call) with your child's teacher; we have found this solves 90% of the questions surrounding grades. If a satisfactory resolution is not obtained by your collaboration with the teacher of record, then you should communicate with your child's counselor to determine appropriate next steps.

If you want to attend a high school that is outside of your "resides area" high school based on your address, see this link for directions to apply for a transfer!

Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council

The Highland SBDM Council regularly meets one Wednesday of every month in the library from 2:45-4:00.

Regularly-Scheduled SBDM meetings for 2018: January 10, February 7, March 7, April 11, May 2, Aug 22.

The Highland SBDM Council is a policy-making body that oversees administrative policies, staffing and budget. Your SBDM parent representative can be another resource for you to share ways you would like to see Highland continuously improve.

You may contact your SBDM Parent representatives: Ollie Parker (okparker@gmail.com), Cristy Plank (plankhome@gmail.com), Sally McMahon (sally@igemedia.com) and Dr. Elizabeth Hinson-Hasty (ehinsonhasty@bellarmine.edu). Car Riders

Car riders may drop off children starting at 7:00am at the gym doors (west side of school along Richmond Drive). In the afternoon, you will pick up from this same location; the car rider tags allow us to announce your child’s number to have them ready so make sure they know it!

SAFETY: Please wait in the car line in the afternoons (even if you don’t have a car rider number) to avoid children having to cross the pick-up line of car traffic; parents parking near the car line in the afternoon and crossing traffic to get their children create an unsafe situation.  We are afraid a child may get injured in this area running into the parking lot. Parent/student walkers should always use the crosswalks located on Richmond Drive.

Always turn right out of the back parking lot in the mornings and afternoons. The car rider line creates a horrible blind spot and we don’t want a collision with child or car!
