2013-present Center for Spatial Research, Columbia University
Exhibit Design and Software Engineering. New York, NY
Project Lead on the Brain Index, a large-scale permanent installation featuring dynamic
visualizations of the brain, robotics and interactive science narratives, developed in collaboration between GSAPP, the graduate school of architecture, planning and preservation, the Brown Institute for Media Innovation and the Zuckerman Institute. Developed visuals and conceptual framework for the project in close collaboration with key stakeholders. Created various presentations, renderings and animations as well as schematic design and documentation set for the physical installation components.
Created a set of novel brain visualizations and 3d models in collaboration with neuroscience imaging specialists and creative partners. Provided creative direction for eight interactive science narratives and developed interactive web-based games and visualizations for each story.
Currently developing a novel web-based mapping engine built on a modern node.js based stack with real time and 3d capabilities.
2013-2015 Uneven Growth exhibition, Museum of Modern Art
Exhibition participant in collaboration with the Network Architecture Lab. New York, NY
Participant in a year-long research project commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art
investigating the impact of tactical urbanism in the face of global development in six cities
across the globe. Project was exhibited at the Museum of Modern art from 2014-2015
and then in Vienna during 2015. Developed an asymmetrical game that addressed the impacts of income inequality in Hong Kong and co-taught graduate level architecture studio at Columbia University in relation to the exhibition.

Freelance and contract based software development, design and implementation for
various clients ranging from private individuals to public institutions with a focus on progressive web technologies, mobile applications and design projects. Select clients have included Audi, Columbia University, S'well, Bernheimer Architecture, Karlsson Wilkers and Control. Recent projects have ranged from web technologies and mobile-friendly eCommerce to designing prototypes for cognitive state managment in automobile drivers, computational geometry analysis of retail zoning in lower Manhattan, graphic design space invaders and digital fabrication for synthesizer components.
2008 - 2009 Google, Engineering. Senior Developer Programs Engineer. NYC & Mtn View, CA
Provided strategic support for key partners with various Google API integrations such as
Facebook, CBS and others. Contributed over 100k lines of code to Google open-source
libraries, applications and prototypes. Worked with various languages and protocols. Presented at conferences such as Google I/O, Google Developer Day and Salesforce and authored multiple articles, blog posts and tutorials totalling 100s of pages in printed form and accessed by over 30k unique readers per year.
2005 - 2007 Buckminster Fuller Institute. Director of Technology. Brooklyn, NY
Designed and implemented a multitude of web sites and applications for the institute and
it's 3,000+ active members using Drupal and other web technologies. Conceived of and
designed visual materials including institutional branding, books, posters and videos.
2003 - 2005 Morgan Stanley
Product Development Lead, Institutional Equity. New York, NY
Managed the successful implementation of over 50 large scale system enhancements on
a global infrastructure that spanned New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo centers.
Performed in-depth analysis of system logic and created prototypes and technical
specification documents for various IT teams using Java and C#. Managed three
separate teams of contractors. Designed and implemented a number of tactical
data-base driven applications to automate, streamline and report on various internal processes for institutional brokerage teams, maintained monthly firm-wide reporting packages and conducted training sessions.

Technical Skills
Solid understanding of most modern web-technology tools and languages including Javascript,
Node, Express, Angular, D3, Scss, Git, MySql, Mongo, Heroku, Linux, Html5, Php and Python.
Strong profiency with 3d modeling, design and creative computation tools such as Maya
(+ Python), Rhino/Grasshopper, 3dsMax, Solidworks, AutoCAD (+LISP), Processing, all applications within Adobe CC including After Effects and InDesign
Familiarity with Java, C#, Ruby/Rails, Unit testing, Google and other web APIs, various version control systems and building a growing understanding of various machine learning techniques and algorithms in Python and R with some Tensorflow.
