After I Tweeted this article about Barrett Brown, the following email[1] was sent to the U.S. Department of Justice:
From: Sue Basko October 7, 2012 CONFIDENTIAL. IMPORTANT. PROBABLY AN EMERGENCY. DEAR DR. MORENZ, THIS IS IMPORTANT AND I NOW THINK I MAY BE IN DANGER from a man you saw as a psychiatrist for a competency hearing. A named Donald Biard MacGuineas sent me rather alarming things via Twitter. |
I did?
Among these things is a transcript of you speaking at a competency hearing. |
Barry Morenz previously had testified in court that I should be civilly committed because I had criticized certain government employees.[2]
To make a long story short, MacGuineas man now seems fixated on me because I wrote an online essay explaining about competency hearings, in particular the upcoming competency hearing of Barrett Brown in Texas. |
Fixated?
MasGuineas also seems extremely dangerous and delusional. Please contact me and let me know what I should do or who I should contact. Reading the links he sent, it looks like he refuses to take medicine, but thinks the problem is everyone else. |
Actually I had not been prescribed medicine, but if I had been, why should I have taken it? What were my supposed delusions? What is she talking about?
He is doing write-ups on the Judge, all his lawyers, all the doctors, etc. And now on me! |
How is that supposed to make me delusional? Did my reference to her really manifest a “fixation”? Was it not simply an answer to a retarded blog she chose to publish on the internet?
Update from a few minutes ago - I blocked his account and he opened a new one to stalk me! |
Umm I did not do that…
He has this list of things taken from his home by the FBI and he looks just so dangerous: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5ZYXb_HdIQhZF9jUDZQS05tdXc/edit?usp=sharing I do not personally think I am in any danger UPDATE -- I DO THINK I MAY BE IN DANGER IF HE MAILS DANGEROUS ITEMS, OR SOMETHING.. I live thousands of miles away. |
I don’t know or care where this freak lives, but she evidently knows where I live.
THIS IS him on Twitter: https://twitter.com/nomdeplume7 THIS IS THE ACCOUNT HE just opened since I blocked him: |
Okay but “bwentz1” isn’t really my account. Why is this idiot blaming me for other people’s actions.
This is where he fixates on me: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17VzFJXaW7Ifb2rVZQ0V_1e0zVPGzryR6zV9bF4BcFkk/edit?usp=sharing |
If she doesn’t want people to answer her stupid blogs, why does she publish them in the first place. Barrett Brown ended up firing Doug Morris.
On 2012-Nov-05, Barry Morenz forwarded her letter to the U.S. Department of Justice. At some point, they must have realized that I was not behind the “bwentz1” Twitter account,[3] and that I wasn’t stalking anyone.
On 2013-May-11, I emailed Assistant U.S. Attorney Beverly Anderson:
Re: Why no charges? Why aren’t you charging Sue Basko under 18 USC 2261A: Whoever— ... (2) with the intent— (A) to ... harass ... or cause substantial emotional distress to a person in another State ... uses ... any interactive computer service to engage in a course of conduct that causes substantial emotional distress to that person ... shall be punished as provided in section 2261(b) of this title. Her correspondence which Barry Morenz forwarded to you on 2012-Nov-05 is substantially emotionally distressing. She claims: I blocked his account and he opened a new one to stalk me! ... THIS IS THE ACCOUNT HE just opened since I blocked him: https://twitter.com/bwentz1 but I have never had control over the “bwentz1” account. How can I file a formal complaint against Basko? |
On 2013-May-21, I received a response:
From: USAAZ.ComplaintAtty@usdoj.gov This is in response to your e-mail to the U.S. Attorney’s Office dated May 11, 2013. This Office is unable to address questions of the nature set forth in your e-mail. Therefore, your e-mail, which includes your contact information, has been referred to the appropriate federal agencies for their review and determination as to whether an investigation is warranted. Should any agency require additional information, you will be contacted directly by the agency. Sincerely, Complaint Duty Officer |
[1] The spelling and grammatical errors appear in the original.
[2] The court found Morenz’s testimony unpersuasive.
[3] I do not assume that “bwentz1” was stalking anyone or doing anything wrong.
