SUBTYPE DESCRIPTIONS:

  1. SEE

        Character: Merida (Brave) -- SEE-Fi SX8

SEE-SE: The first striking item I notice in this type’s descriptions is they have a “constant thirst for vigorous activity.” This thirst for practical activity can be noticed by their spontaneity and scatteredness combination. They can be noticeably critical and indignant, but they also know how to be kind and give a good compliment. They know how to entertain others with their expressiveness and can also be persistent when they desire a certain outcome in a situation. The Se subtype is characterized by their leadership qualities of bravery, strength, and adaptability. They’re confident in themselves, for the most part, and can be very social. With their strong creativity, they might struggle with realizing capabilities within resolutions for a concrete task, which might spur hesitation and doubt in which they hide with their outgoing nature and thirst for activity. On the negative side, this subtype can feel unrespected and feel that they aren’t being taken seriously, which causes self-criticalness and dramatization of events nearby. This subtype however is very temperamental, and can easily affect those nearby with their optimism or pessimism. As inferred, the Se subtype is very impulsive. They dislike monotony and prefer freedom of action rather than being blocked from activities by regulations and such. This subtype is notably competitive as well, and they have a process to winning things usually. The process would be to gather just enough information to jump into things, establish connections for aid, look towards “experts” and go from there. After cautiously looking at decisions for a minute, they will confidently and quickly leap into new situations with their naturally strong willpower, endurance, and flexibility. Maximalists at heart.

Character: Inosuke Hashibira (Demon Slayer) -- SEE-Se SP8

SEE-FI: The Fi subtype is charmful, yet confidential. They still remain active as an SEE type, but they are a bit more purposeful with their actions. They like to discuss possibilities and have a very curious nature, as they like to be aware of the things happening around them--like current events. They strive to pursue economical, quickly-solved, and large-scale pursuits, as they easily organize tasks in order of importance and might not complete smaller tasks due simply to lack of interest, time, or moods. Though, this subtype does have a hard time with practical measurement, not seeing personal limitations and wanting to do what is more than possible. When not completing tasks or failing them, this subtype doesn’t get too disheartened, as they take lessons and confidently move to new ways to apply them. They have notably good diplomacy skills, approaching conversations in a polite, sincere, easygoing way which garners sympathy from others. However, they are not completely open to all, as only a select few have their full confidence. The Fi subtype likes to have others admire them, as this stimulates them to further continue their endeavors. When approaching decisions, they usually know what they desire, and can comfortably make decisions independently.

Character: Korra (The Legend of Korra) -- SEE-Fi SX8

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Emotionality: SEE-Se is notably more emotion-driven than SEE-Fi. While both types are impulsive, SEE-Se is a bit more energetic and temperamental than the colder and practical SEE-Fi. The Se subtype can be more prone to spells of deep pessimism whereas SEE-Fi has a bit of an easier time keeping a cooler head about things, they get less absorbed into situations than the SEE-Se.

B.) Diplomacy: SEE-Fi is notably more diplomatic than SEE-Se. As SEE-Se attempts to be diplomatic and might fail due to their critical, half-joking nature, SEE-Fi succeeds at being diplomatic and approaches things with a more calculated and tactful approach; careful successions rather than large leaps of the SEE-Se.

  1. SLE

Character: William Butcher (The Boys) -- SLE-Se SP8

SLE-SE: This Se subtype is quite unpredictable, resolute, and critical. With their unpredictable character, they can range from being aggressive to being sentimental and kind with the few they find solace with.  Many quickly assume that with such an impulsive character, “stupidity” is accompanied by their acting before thinking--which is not the case at all. SLE-Ses are very clever about their desires and sharp with their humor. This makes them insanely good conversationalists (which I feel ILEs get all the credit for, but give SLE some justice!) They know how to utilize people by imposing their desires on them while managing to stay witty; a natural leader with admirable strength and passion. Competition might discourage others, but a good challenge only riles up the Se subtype, as “boredom is his first enemy.” (Wikisocion) They’re also natural tacticians, as they might encounter some doubt when deciding what major goal they want to run towards, but once they make a decision, they’ll leap into situations with self-instilled confidence. This subtype can fall victim to over-confidence however, turning them into a seemingly arrogant character. They prefer to make decisions independently. They might hear someone out but in the end, it’ll always be them having the final word; they don’t like unsolicited advice. They don’t usually look fondly towards authority figures, as people telling the SLE-Se what to do only activates their rebellious nature. Yet in a situation of seriousness or business, they’ll be rather diplomatic. They’re also quite the provocative type. If you do something wrong to them (or an ally), they know how to hit you where it hurts and put you on the spot. They’re protective, especially to those they deem vulnerable or needing aid--with this comes that combative and grudge-holding, stubborn side. SLE-Ses will be more forgiving to these select few as well.

Character: Eleanor Shellstrop (The Good Place) -- SLE-Se SP8

SLE-TI: The SLE-Ti type is going to be quite restrained yet reliable. They live a life of trying to restrain their expressions of feeling to keep up their character of a serious and reliable nature. They look to logic before taking action, but they’re not slow to take action nonetheless; their weighing of options doesn’t block their path to action. They have a good understanding of the happenings around them, making it a simple task for them to assess the situation and make a decision that would be most beneficial. They’re skilled in assessing others’ potential but struggle to evaluate less concrete subjects like bonds. They like to start new projects and will naturally draw others to want to work with them since they are very dedicated and punctual. SLE-Tis especially like to start new endeavors, as they grow bored when they don’t have a place to apply their abilities. New and novel is the key to winning this subtype’s intrigue. They appear collected, as they try to suppress their other distracting emotions, but when anger shows up for the Ti subtype, they won’t hesitate to show it. After this aggressive spell, they might feel upset at themselves for losing control of themselves, especially in front of others. Their humor is more frank and they’re less concerned with conversing or entertaining with others (which they aren’t very good at, as they’re more in their head); they’re more focused on carrying themselves with a sense of dignity. They have good self-confidence, as they deem themselves competent, resulting in them being skeptical when it comes to ideas that are not their own. This subtype can be very mistrustful, as they’re afraid of betrayal. They’re proud of themselves, distinctly whenever they can showcase their strong abilities (doesn’t have to be in front of others, could just be to themselves). SLE-Ti is a very practical type, they don’t prefer to engage or spend time on items they deem pointless. They can be demanding of others, which can reflect their unforgiving character. They appear like an authority figure almost, they understand the importance of what they desire, and if making small sacrifices to get to that goal is necessary, they’ll do it--they aren’t AS stubborn as their Se subtype sibling. This can be seen as them being more flexible in communication and promoting their well-wishing attitude.

Character: Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) -- SLE-Ti SO3

→ Possibly LIE ^

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Protectiveness: SLE-Se is a natural leader and can be seen focusing on protecting those they deem as weaker or more vulnerable. SLE-Ti is more subjectively focused, as they’re more about showcasing their reliable and serious character. SLE-Ses relate more to the saying of taking someone “under your wing” and will readily fight for any injustices towards these select few individuals.

B.) Self-Control: SLE-Ti is a lot more restrained than the SLE-Se. SLE-Tis spend a lot of time appearing collected to give others the lasting impression that they are reliable and skillful. Whereas the SLE-Se isn’t as worried about how others perceive them, they especially wouldn’t jump to wanting to be seen as serious and calm.

  1. EIE

Character: Kaworu Nagisa (Neon Genesis Evangelion) -- EIE SO7

EIE-FE: When identifying this subtype, externally they can be seen as rather modest or polite. They feel strong emotions internally, but maintain a good composure externally to abide by the constructed good manner around them--they’re more unobtrusive. They tend to easily take offense to things, yet again, they try to control their emotional expression around others, especially strangers. Externally they can promote themselves to be self-confident and unapproachable (which they are to an extent) but internally they remain vulnerable and self-conscious as they suffer from insecurity. They prefer to think things over before jumping to conclusions, but they can be somewhat unsure of themself within this process. The doubt isn’t super effective, as they carry grand amounts of perseverance and resolve--they like to accomplish their goals. They’re adamant about following “ethical norms of behavior” and will implore others to do so as well with their critical nature, even giving corrective remarks to those they deem as not behaving properly. They can also be pretty temperamental, having dramatic mood swings like going from cold and demanding to warm-hearted and considerate. Character-wise, this subtype is very analytical. They try to avoid mistakes as best as they can, so they’ll try to understand everything around them (from an ethical standpoint usually) to avoid said mishaps. This allows them to have great foresight skills, which they use for looking into people’s motives or giving timely advice to this person. While they utilize foresight a lot, they don’t like to rush into initiating new prospects either and can oftentimes even struggle with decision-making, spending an inordinate amount of time weighing the pros and cons of a decision. Due to all the time spent mulling over choices, once the Fe subtype has their mind made up, they aren’t ones to compromise (“They’d rather suffer defeat than renounce his beliefs). Lastly, when it comes to projects, they remain skeptical yet focused. They remain distrustful of new information and will usually dislike being watched over, so they find it easier to work in private. However, they don’t like to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, so they might give others in a group small responsibilities to take care of in fear of them getting too focused on the big picture and not looking at the smaller details.

Character: Shinobu Kocho (Demon Slayer) -- EIE-Fe SO7

EIE-NI: Looking at the EIE-Ni’s appearance, they can be considered to be creative, sociable, inquisitive, and unpredictable. They have a lot of internal doubts which reflect unpredictability in their actions, amplified by flares of hot temper and frankness. Here, they might do something that they’ll later come to regret. But, in that moment they could be rather confident in their rash decisions. They’re very uninhibited emotionally, which allows them to be quite impulsive even when it comes to artistic pursuits and emotional expression. They can be a very practical subtype, but they don’t have enough self-confidence or patience to carry out their practical ideas. In these moments, they take failure seriously and are quite affected by it. Character-wise, this type is a good strategist who also lacks self-assurance. They have a good ability to wait for the right moment to perform certain actions, as they have a good idea of timelines around them. The Ni subtype has great organizational skills, but they at times can overestimate themselves by taking on more work than they can handle plus they might get distracted by new, oncoming problems, which altogether might lead to postponed work. This subtype is very good at conversing. They easily inspire others with their expressive and emotional diction--they might even fall into the trap of idealization or dramatization as they get too caught up in the moment. They know how to be the center of attention and will often use their abilities in persuasion and demonstrative behavior to captivate others, often ending up in leadership roles. The EIE-Ni might also have many contacts, as they enjoy meeting new people and offering compliments and admiration to them in a good mood. Whereas, in a poor mood, they tend to be less optimistic and would rather spend some time alone in their bubble of skepticism. This subtype might idealize those they love or are close to, and are more willing to compromise for them, to an extent--they don’t tend to bend their moral judgments easily. The EIE-Ni dislikes feeling restricted by strict directions and thrives best when they are given creative freedom. Lastly, this subtype can be very interested in the novel or unique. Contributing to their strong abilities when given creative freedom, they’ll often demonstrate their strengths to others while also believing in the strength of others.

        Character: Jayce (Arcane) -- EIE-Ni SO7

→ Possibly ILE

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Code of Conduct: EIE-Fe tends to place a heavy importance on good manners, and will often correct others’ poor behavior, whereas EIE-Ni is less focused on external appearances.

B.) Expressiveness: EIE-Ni is a lot more emotionally expressive in terms of their diction, which allows them to be often the leader or life-of-the-party, whereas EIE-Fe is more focused on maintaining a composed and un-familial demeanor.

  1. ESE

Character: Mitsuri Kanroji (Demon Slayer) -- ESE SX3

ESE-FE: The Fe subtype can be notably seen as amiable yet stubborn. They will be unyielding and persistent when it comes to important manners, but they manage to stay rather unobtrusive for the most part. They may, however, exert “emotional pressure” onto those they deem are behaving poorly in their minds. They are quite hospitable as well. They might like physical contact during conversations, but overall they just enjoy working with people. Character-wise, this subtype is rather optimistic and sociable. They aren’t very envious and they’re also friendly, creating a character that enjoys watching others succeed genuinely, but can discuss their achievements readily too. With this supportive nature, the ESE-Fe is skilled at involving others and helping them to realize the plans that they’ve curated. They have a good sense of humor, which allows them to make friends rather easily. Then again, as previously mentioned, they do exert emotional pressure on others which might overwhelm others, which might leave the Fe subtype with a closer ring of friends than intended. They’re rather active individuals, as their enemy could be considered wasting time. To battle this, they take on many interesting experiences such as taking themselves on field trips. They tend to dislike people who are hypocritical, rude, or self-satisfied and will try to correct their behavior with good manners. They have a strong sense of justice, and can be even outraged when observing injustices; they also like to discuss social issues combined with this. When the outrage arrives, they try to maintain their fair composure but may fail with their large mood changes. They aren’t the most skilled at seeing potential within prospects due to a fear of mistakes creating a hesitant character when decisions are brought to them. They prefer to use tried-and-true methods of working on new projects, but paradoxically they dislike routine at the same time. With this dislike of routine, they may struggle to take care of the necessary chores in their life and find themselves distracted with their field trips as mentioned before.

Character: Brett Hand (Inside Job) -- ESE-Fe SO9

ESE-SI: Looking towards the ESE-Si in terms of appearance, they could be considered to be practical yet emotional. They’re well-wishing for others, and to help out others they will correct other’s mistakes (and their impression of them) with sharp statements. In this aspect, they are rather self-confident and skillful in their ability to leave a good impression on others. They’re very attentive and responsive to people’s needs and often create an intimate atmosphere within conversations. The Si subtype is very frank, where they never really find themselves at a loss for words as they readily give out compliments to others while also voicing their dislike of things in arguments. Character-wise, the ESE-Si subtype is a lively and cheerful type. They could easily be considered by many to be charming and great conversationalists. They find that understanding others comes naturally to them, so they might have varying approaches to conversing with different people, leading others to feel appreciated around them. They like to look after “the weak” and easily pick up others’ moods and can care for them subsequently. They struggle with hiding their emotions, which comes with the pros above as well as many cons. The Si subtype can be erratic or short-tempered and can be pretty persistent when they consider themselves correct. They can sufficiently defend against injustice for themselves as well as for others. When working on projects, this subtype is very diligent and rather independent. They are hardworking and enjoy taking up prospects especially when their efforts are recognized.  They’re good at organizing things around them in hopes of maximum efficiency. However, they are easily overwhelmed and find themselves not skilled in the ways of prioritization--they can find themselves hung up on small details rather than the more important things at hand. This behavior inhibits them from taking time to make decisions and can lead them to make rash choices that they later regret. They feel ashamed of this scattered side of themselves. Lastly, they strongly dislike uncertainty. They appreciate when information is relayed concisely and based upon facts, leaving little room for uncertainty.

Character: Rarity (My Little Pony) -- ESE-Si SX3

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Field Trips: EIE-Fe doesn’t like to waste time and battles this as well as boredom by taking themselves to interesting activities (field trips), whereas ESE-Si isn’t as affected by boredom and is more diligent.

B.) Correcting Behavior: ESE-Si tends to correct others’ poor behavior with a straightforward and frank approach, whereas ESE-Fe exerts emotional pressure to correct behavior with good manners.

  1. LIE

Character: Five Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy) -- LIE

LIE-TE: Appearance-wise, the Te subtype is notably action-oriented, strict, and overly categorical. They might have a more timid and reflective nature, but may hide this with their external self which is more decisive, impulsive, and physically less expressive with emotions--LIE-Te wants to appear composed and serious. They see their projects to completion, and they rarely stray or divert themselves away from their plans. Character-wise, the LIE-Te is hardworking and active. They like to engage with activities that bear concrete results and benefits, as they strive for pragmatism and solutions driven by fact. They also aim for clarity and to make no mistakes, so they tend to plan out everything in advance, gaining information from credible sources and testing out new ideas before going full-out with their projects with high energy and spirit. LIE-Te is always seeking higher, always wanting to improve the things around them. So they enjoy exploring prospects of a project. From there, they separate things into a step by step process and will carry out those goals for the project to their completion. Distractions or attempts at persuasion towards them are disliked and disregarded due to their confidence in personal beliefs and values. The Te subtype makes great leaders due to many reasons: Easily motivates others to work by their example, doesn’t tolerate trickery, not afraid of challenges or hardships and likes to come out being the winner, extreme tenacity and perseverance, and firm yet democratic. LIE-Te can usually be found to be polite and courteous, unless they are disrespected which can then lead to them possibly losing their temper. As a friend, they provide concrete support and advice. They prefer hanging out with people who are similar to them--serious and possibly beneficial for the future. They remain quite critical of others’ flaws and mistakes, but they won’t reprimand these flaws harshly, no matter their upset-levels, the LIE-Te rather provides aid in a softer tone. Due to their fear of making mistakes or making themself look stupid, they’ll refrain from much emotional expression, especially since they cannot properly discern what their bond feels about them already. Provides for their bonds with acts of service rather than words of affection. Lastly, the Te subtype is quite resourceful. Uncertainty regarding their physical appearance can stress them out, so they spend effort and time appearing nice and aesthetically pleasing. They’re very practical and resourceful, so doing household chores or fixing any household problems comes with ease for them utilizing their creativity and adaptability.

        Character: Erwin Smith (AOT) -- LIE-Te SO7

LIE-NI: Appearance-wise, the Ni subtype is considerate, affectionate, and scattered. They’re a very active type, where they always try to accomplish many things in short amounts of time and are able to take risks to do so, confidently. They often have multitudes of ideas and struggle to do things one at a time--deadlines can stress them out and cause them to hurry themselves and others. The Ni subtype can be so focused on their ideas and such, that they might even act against common courtesy due to their free nature. They try to correct this with humor and/or acts of service. Character-wise, the LIE-Ni is somewhat paradoxical. They have a strong creative mind, filled with curiosity, enthusiasm, and bold ideas. Yet, they are strong in terms of practicality too, showing great initiative to start their creative but concrete projects. Their bravery and enthusiasm can inspire others to get involved in their work, and they find it easy and beneficial to implement new methods into their work too--also creating an adaptive character. LIE-Ni can be impatient and easily distracted when it comes to getting their work done (missing smaller details being a consequence of this), but they’ll always usually come back to their duties when needed even after some procrastination. But, they do tend to test themselves and try different fields of activities since they like change and taking risks. Working with groups, they’re not a very stubborn type and can sacrifice their desires when needed. On that note, the Ni subtype tends to struggle with decisions due to frequent fluctuations of opinion from their ability to be easily persuaded and internal doubts. Even if things go wrong for this type, their optimism can lift their spirits back up quickly and they aren’t too upset about starting things over, if needed. As a friend, LIE-Ni is often straightforward, lively, and supportive. The Ni subtype is able to trust others by preposition, and loves to dive deep into others’ problems and support them by giving advice, encouraging them, and/or adding in some light humor to raise the mood. Lastly, they’re very interested in unnatural phenomena as they try to understand the essence of events and moral or scientific questions.

        Character: Miya Chinen -- LIE-Ni SO3

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Step-By-Step: LIE-Te prefers to plan things out and use a successive method to complete their tasks, whereas LIE-Ni tends to multitask and get distracted while not following this method.

B.) Expressive: LIE-Ni is more expressive with their emotions and can often be the “soul” of the group, while LIE-Te prefers to maintain a serious and balanced demeanor.

  1. LSE

        Maki Zenin -- LSE SX1

LSE-TE: Appearance-wise, the Te subtype is impersonal, dry, and serious. They maintain a business-like demeanor that rarely jokes or talks in-depth about their personal feelings, preferring to discuss useful or beneficial topics. They aren’t ones to necessarily talk a whole lot, but when they are fired up with flares of temper, then they can be hard to stop. LSE-Te can be quite critical, and can sometimes hold their criticisms of others until a later date where they hold onto their grudges and avoid interactions. At the end of the day, they are pretty retrained types however, they have difficulty relaxing and are prone to flashes of temper. Character-wise, the Te subtype is a realistic person that prioritizes practicality and order. They respect competent people and hold high expectations for those around them. LSE-Te easily follows rules and regulations--even being able to teach these laws to others with clear and concise language. In terms of group projects, the Te subtype is great at management and organizing. They’re punctual and responsible, not “going easy” on anyone and monitor efforts closely. However, they struggle with diplomacy due to their stubborn and inflexible nature--they struggle to admit their faults and make compromises.  From their sense of duty and authority, they will criticize others who are lazy, cheat to get ahead, and/or those who are idealists. This open criticality on top of their bluntness can create difficulty in forming or maintaining relationships. Looking at their bonds, the Te subtype is naturally more secretive. They don’t usually like to share their vulnerable side with others unless they're in a certain mood that makes them want to spill all their built up feelings. They poorly understand others’ feelings and don’t tend to give out compliments or praise to others--LSE-Te believes this spoils people and flattery is excessive. They are internally sensitive, but hide it with their professional image as they’re afraid to make mistakes and find it hard to express their feelings. About the fear of making mistakes, the Te subtype is suspicious of new ideas for this very reason. They prefer to plan things out and they like to try and predict outcomes of proposed ideas. When their ideas are criticized by those they feel are incompetent, their anger can swell. Lastly, they can also be quite stressed out by deadlines since they are high-achieving people that can get distracted by every little detail.

        Character: Amy Santiago -- LSE-Te SP3

LSE-SI: Appearance-wise, the Si subtype is active and perseverent. They like to busy themselves with lots of different tasks and can even at times be impulsive or pushy--they are pretty persuasive though. They often struggle with assessing their own capabilities, and end up taking a larger work load than they can carry. The Si subtype is relaxed and uninhibited during conversation, often trying to close distance between themself and others by utilizing their sense of humor, offering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and by engaging in communication with energy--which usually has them ending up as the center of attention. Character-wise, the Si subtype is bold, inventive, and always seeking to improve on their own terms and criteria. When it comes to group projects, LSE-Si can be a great leader. They can easily lend an ear to listen to new ideas (though they prefer tried and trusted methods of work), organize things to ensure accuracy and concreteness, and they are great during times of quick decision making due to their naturally strong willpower and ability to adapt. The Si subtype is also great at motivating and cheering others up, as they possess significant skills in diplomacy, where they can mobilize others to accomplish goals with amiability, wit, and passion. LSE-Si can really struggle with uncertainty. Due to their impulsive and hasty character, they prefer making quick decisions rather than postponing them or mulling over them for a while. Even when making bad decisions, they don’t find a lot of difficulty in discussing their mistakes with others. When it comes to relationships, they tend to simply adhere to established societal communication rules and expect the same from others. They desire harmony in their bonds, so when someone disagrees with them, they can become stressed out since they also seek approval of their qualities and attributes--they don’t receive criticism the best. They also have trouble accurately assessing the abilities of others. They often just end up having wrong conclusions, which they feel shameful for since they don’t want anyone to feel undervalued. In this case, they try to make the subject feel better using acts of service or with gifts. Lastly, LSE-Si has a keen eye for aesthetics, joyfully creating comfortable yet beautiful living spaces and outfits for themselves and placing a lot of importance on those beautiful things.

        Character: Daichi Sawamura -- LSE-Si SP3

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Vulnerability: LSE-Te prefers to keep their personal feelings and shortcomings to themselves unless they’re in a mood (usually with a specific close bond) where they need to spill everything, whereas LSE-Si is a bit more compromising and able to share their mistakes with others with spirit.

B.) Center of Attention: LSE-Si tends to approach conversations with the humor and friendliness in order to close the distance between themself and others and release any tension and this often makes them the center of attention at times, whereas LSE-Te is more focused on discussing beneficial topics and keeping their professional exterior (talking less and saying less jokes for example).

  1. IEE

Character: Jake Peralta (Brooklyn 99) -- IEE SX7

IEE-NE: The Ne subtype can be notably seen as incredibly detached from their surroundings. They can be internally very focused, yet on the outside seem very scattered, creating a paradoxical appearance. Their outside doesn’t match their inside in a lot of different scenarios they might be feeling shy or nervous yet they’re externally exhilarated or happy. They present different impressions to different people for one they might seem “thoughtful” and, to another “impulsive.” They try to be friendly and understand everyone, as they put on a face of cheeriness which is also an attempt to hide their incredibly vulnerable insides--they’re easily offended. Character-wise, this subtype is described as very perceptive. They easily see others’ hidden flaws and motives, which they don’t usually cause any harm by knowing, but they don’t love falsity and hypocrisy so they won’t lie about them either. IEE-Ne people love to advise on peoples’ problems. They easily utilize their skills in divergent thinking and can easily sympathize with others. At the same time, they’re also skilled in persuading and inspiring those they talk to; all creating a genuinely helpful character. This subtype is also quite inquisitive. They like delving into everything mysterious and trying to understand everything around them since they seek new experiences. Without new experiences and ways for them to apply their abilities, this type often falls victim to boredom. They don’t stick with one hobby or project for very long because of this desire for experimentation. However, whenever they or something else starts a project, they can be very demanding in the creative department, seeing many flaws easily and thus becoming unsatisfied with their work. They become attracted to things that contain problems for them to overcome but can struggle with overworking due to not seeing the value in prioritizing things and seeing little personal limits. This Ne subtype has an infectious enthusiasm that is spread to everyone they encounter. They are good at debates since they passionately can argue in favor of themselves while they also notice weaknesses in the opposing argument quickly. In these debates, they can exert emotional pressure on their opponent, but they prefer communicating with like-minded individuals instead of going on and on about some argument. They have an easy time foreseeing prospects and opportunities, yet struggle with taking action and initiative due to their scattered, doubtful, and disorganized nature. They aren’t the most skilled at repressing their emotions, as any rudeness or injustice can make them angry quickly which they won’t hesitate to show in their words or actions. They will calm down and compromise if the disagreement calls for it, unless they don’t see that fit, they’ll be uncompromising. They’re quite impressionable, leading them to hold grudges easily. Lastly, this type does try to be responsible. They dislike making promises they feel they can’t fulfill, and try to keep their obligations and not let others down.

Character: Klaus Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy) — IEE-Ne SX7

IEE-FI: This Fi subtype can be described as spontaneous and original. To surprise and/or entertain the people near them, they like to show off their unpredictable nature with their actions and words. For this, they easily become the center of any event they’re near, a sort of “life of the party” archetype can be seen here. Their sincere impulsiveness creates a familiar environment that many find enjoyable to be a part of. They’re charming as they give out compliments frequently, but these compliments aren’t just said to be said, they’re a very frank and direct type in terms of communication. Character-wise, this subtype is determined and active. They’re able to conquer a lot of challenges thrown their way due to their enthusiasm and inventiveness but struggle to see prospects and plan out things. They’re incredibly good at improvisation and making quick decisions is where they find the most comfort. They keep a good head, as they tend to never lose sight of their desires, with courage. Continuing with their outgoing and charming side, they find pleasure in encouraging people, and instilling confidence in others. This subtype becomes genuinely happy for others successes, there’s little to no envy present. They talk about others and their own flaws in an informal matter, often making things humorous to avoid offending anyone. Others can see them as a carefree and unbothered character, and they use this to create good relations with multitudes of people--they’re very trusting of others naturally. They don’t have a hard time defending their opinion, and they don’t even back down if someone superior opposes them. However, they can be easily offended and become aggressive. But these moments don’t last long, as they tend to forgive and forget. The IEE-Fi can be very good at entering new projects but might struggle with following through. They dislike meticulous and enduring boring tasks--these detail-oriented tasks limit their independence. They try to be responsible and they dislike not fulfilling their obligations as well and they actively try to fight their irresponsible behavior. Lastly, this type dreams of perfection yet isn’t able to maintain things enough to spur perfection from them.

Character: Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls) — IEE-Fi SX7

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Paradoxical: IEE-Ne is a more contradicting character than IEE-Fi. IEE-Ne tends to feel one way on the inside but externally showcases a different feeling, whereas IEE-Fi is a bit more focused on entertaining others with a charming and personable face to be so paradoxical.

B.) Forgiving: IEE-Fi tends to be more forgiving than IEE-Ne. IEE-Fi can live more by the “forgive and forget” lifestyle after a flare-up whereas IEE-Ne tends to hold more grudges due to their vulnerable and impressionable nature.

  1. ILE

Character: Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen) -- ILE SP7

ILE-NE: Externally, the ILE-Ne subtype can be noticeably dreamy and childish. They love to conversate and discuss novel information with others and they show interest in their conversation partner’s opinions and views. They have a seemingly soft energy but will become strong when defending their views--but this rarely ends in conflict. They defend the views of those they care for with more vigor than their views; still avoiding conflict. It’s noted that this subtype is “smiley”, they often carry positive energy with them which they carry into serious conversations as well as silly ones. They don’t easily take offense to things due to this attitude. They can be somewhat scattered, but when they want to finish a project, they will get down to work and get it done. Character-wise, this Ne subtype is incredibly curious about unknown or unusual phenomena. They dislike monotonous or routine projects. They like to surprise people with new facts, so they enjoy having a wide circle of interests that they read up on. They’re skilled at seeing the potential of things and enjoy taking on new projects that they find generally interesting or potentially beneficial. They like having a fun group of friends with individuals who are confident, optimistic, and can dish out or react to provocative behavior. This type overall doesn’t like to rush things. They are slow to show their feelings first due to personal doubts which might result in showing them later than required, and they lack will and strong initiative because of this delaying of the self. It is also noted that this type has a naturally trusting and idealistic nature which can lead to a gullible character. They’re well-wishing but are less expressive with this compared to how other types can be described to give out frequent compliments. They display their affection to others sometimes with their advice, as they try to understand people’s desires and will happily give advice on how to get out of a difficult situation to achieve their wishes. Lastly, this type is reluctant to deal with daily routine items and might have to rely on someone else to accomplish these maintenance tasks.

Character: Sampo (Honkai Star Rail) -- ILE-Ne SP7

ILE-TI:  In terms of appearance, the ILE-Ti can be seen as sharp, self-assured, and possibly inconsiderate. This Ti subtype may tend to be impatient and therefore impose their views hastily on others--maybe even before the other person has finished speaking. They defend their views strongly and might offend someone in this process, which they will correct the situation in the end when they notice. Their behavior is very unpredictable as it can range from being self-focused and taking offense at small things to friendly and supportive. Character-wise, this subtype is noticeably analytical and practical. They like to analyze old methods or vague ideas and try to innovate them practically into concrete projects. They lose interest in projects that have already been done before. Because of this, this type might find themselves not finishing every project they start, often starting new ones unless the first one is important to the ILE-Ti. Expanding on the point of imposing their views on others from before, if they were to be proven wrong, they have a hard time admitting their faults as they don’t “succumb to intimidation” nor do they have much trouble with opposing a superior even without a high/or any chance of winning (these 2L’s at it again). In these discussions, they may become aggressive and bold. Yet contrastingly, when the argument becomes panicked for any reason, they handle things confidently with a focused and logical flavor. This type is very active and they enjoy bringing people into their projects if they are considered beneficial to the ILE-Ti. They don’t like to compromise and combine this with an ambitious outlook on prospects. They are encouraging leaders who inspire teamwork and hard work. They’re quite democratic and go against hierarchy norms by treating everyone familiarly and justly--speaking harsh truths if needed. As a leader, they desire to be respected. They aren’t the most skilled at evaluating people’s character, and with that combined with the trend of liking to have many useful contacts, they might have some questionable contacts on hand. With this in mind, they struggle with having stable bonds. Finally, the ILE-Ti is mistrustful of emotion. Even with being fearful of becoming dependent on a bond, they might still find themselves being fearful of expressing their emotion due to their uncertainty about their bond’s reaction to their expression. They’re afraid of letting themself as well as their bond down and might become independent in flare-ups which they later regret and try to make up for with their bond(s) later.

        Character: Reigen Arataka (Mob Psycho 100) -- ILE-Ti SP7

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Light-hearted: ILE-Ne tends to approach things with a more light-hearted attitude than ILE-Ti. ILE-Ne because of this, takes little offense to things whereas ILE-Ti takes more offense to comments and criticisms.

B.) Conflictive: ILE-Ti tends to be more conflict-ready in arguments whereas ILE-Ne rarely ends disagreements in conflict and aggression. ILE-Ti doesn’t like to admit they’re wrong, so they will go to far extents to defend their opinion with vigor and a possible hot-temper even in the face of superiority and slim chances of winning.

  1. IEI

Character: Kobeni Higashiyama (Chainsaw Man) — IEI SP6

IEI-NI: Paying attention to their external look, the IEI-Ni subtype can appear calm and melancholic. They have a great intuition, which leads many to believe they are simply detached from reality, but this isn’t the whole story. The Ni subtype can utilize their strong intuition to create supportive relations with others around them. They may keep up a calm demeanor externally, but internally, their heart is quite sentimental and they are quite temperamental, where they can often have bouts of moodiness and melancholy. Character-wise, this subtype is soft and considerate. Looking back to their sentimental heart, they remember quite a bit. They can recall past experiences in heavy detail, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the event. They are prone to remembering most clearly their mistakes, which they utilize to learn lessons from. They don’t necessarily like to hurry or rush things, which can cause them to delay solving their problems, as they are filled with doubt. With this self-doubt being heavily present, they can struggle with making decisions. This leads this subtype to usually dislike being in leadership roles and handling organizational tasks--they tend to prefer jobs using theoretical or intellectual items rather than “hands-on” ones. However, this doubtful side is contradictory to their romantic side. They tend to idealize the future, which can sometimes lead to overestimating prospects. From this idealization of prospects, the Ni subtype is great at discussing the unconventional or the unique. They dislike monotony, and will readily conversate about innovating prospects and venturing for new experiences. They are attracted to unique individuals as well, not just prospects. They don’t just jump into new projects however, they remain a cautious type and will prefer if more assertive individuals were to take over in terms of initiative. They can value flexibility in relationships, which allows them to be rather diplomatic and good at mediating during disagreements, creating a good trait for a leader--contrary to how they don’t super believe in themselves. They are tolerant of others’ flaws and try to maintain good relations with those they meet. They are also quite patient in relationships, so they won’t be the ones to break relationships and would rather try to improve themselves to meet their bond’s “requirements.” Lastly, the IEI-Ni subtype has a very disorganized nature. They can be overly focused on small details that are rather irrelevant to the big picture and can run out of time to complete important tasks. They can also sometimes forget to fulfill obligations they’ve made or miss opportunities due to this disorganization, but with the physical, mental, and/or material support of others, they feel more confident to complete the tasks they need to do.

Character: Edgar Allen Poe (Bungou Stray Dogs) -- IEI-Ni SO4

IEI-FE: When looking at their exterior self, the IEI-Fe subtype can be quite charming and optimistic. They can be quite unpredictable; “...can unexpectedly jab at someone and then just as quickly embrace and hiss his conversation partner.” They can be charming and emotional in terms of conversation as well. They’re talented at conversing to the point where they are skilled at predisposing others to have positive outlooks about their character--persuasion in short. They’re hard to refuse. Character-wise, they bring a familiar vibe to conversations which allows this subtype to establish contacts quite easily. These contacts will usually end up viewing the Fe subtype as sincere, warm, and trustworthy from their conversation tactics. They understand other’s emotions naturally and find themselves establishing the contacts mentioned above to reach their goals and desires best (not all relationships are made for this reason). With this understanding of emotions, they also find ease in cheering others up, for each individual has their specific way of cheering up which the IEI-Fe understands how to use. They readily will give out compliments to others, and enjoy being in the center of people’s attention. The Fe type is also contradictory in its sense of individualism. They’re independent, as they are prone to many improvised acts as well as quick-paced mood swings on their own. However, they can also be quite dependent on others for praise and encouragement. They can be expressive about their inner turmoils as they seek others’ sympathy and support. They can look to others for aid in making decisions (which they won’t always follow; independent improvisation. They will often try to prove their correctness but will accept advice after they calm down). They are also sensitive to criticism from others as their productivity levels may depend on the amount of praise they’ve received in advance. With more acknowledgment and praise, they’ll become more motivated to overcome obstacles and they will become more confident. In regards to projects the IEI-Fe begins, they can lose interest in them quickly if they require large amounts of effort/patience--they value comfort which, side note, can even lead to them buying unnecessary items to fulfill aesthetic desires). Lastly, they can showcase a fearless and nonchalant side of their personality to others, but usually only in the hopes of having others view them with a good impression.

        Character: Joe Goldberg (You) -- IEI-Fe SX5

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Sentimentality: IEI-Ni carries a more sentimental heart notedly than IEI-Fe. IEI-Ni remembers tiny details, mostly revolving around their mishaps, which they extract lessons from.

B.) Image: IEI-Fe cares more about their external image and their impression on others than IEI-Ni. IEI-Fe will tactically be charming and familiar in conversations to allow others to see them as trustworthy or sincere, which brings its advantages.

  1. ILI

Character: Kenma Kozume (Haikyuu!!) -- ILI SP5

ILI-NI: Looking at their appearance, the ILI-Ni subtype is slow-paced, balanced, and contemplative. They enjoy lengthy discussions on various subjects or something they researched and in these conversations, they are tactful and reserved; trying not to be overly harsh. They often have a lingering feeling of dissatisfaction which they don’t normally bring up with others ever. This type is quite timid and vulnerable internally, but they don’t show this to others as they might keep others at a distance. Character-wise, this subtype is very imaginative and creative. They have a strong intuition with this, which they utilize to try and foresee everything (new people they meet, new projects they start, etc.) This foreseeing behavior can be noted to be performed to avoid unexpected outcomes, as they dislike experiences of improvisation. They enjoy new possibilities with their strong imagination but gravitate towards stable and familiar experiences nonetheless. They think through and plan everything in advance, which might end up in the delay of making important decisions, which they dislike altogether. They can often classify themselves as an “observer” of life, as they easily imagine an ideal life, yet struggle with the initiative and self-confidence required to go after these ideals. To not be perceived as intrusive, they rarely initiate conversations with others and prefer to hang out with familiar people instead of new groups of individuals. They tend to carry a polite demeanor in conversations, but dislike when others show excessive emotions in these chats, as they find them unneeded when people should rather stay “calm and reasonable.” They’re a more forgiving type compared to others and show generosity towards others in tough circumstances. They prefer to reach compromises in disagreements instead of persuading others of their ideas. The Ni subtype is aware of their limitations and doesn’t make promises they won’t keep, responsibly. They’re quite diligent in terms of work ethic and will sacrifice making a deadline before submitting an incomplete piece of work. Lastly, this subtype can be internally temperamental. This is seen when they can vary from over-sensitive and fault-finding, to overly accommodating. They do not have the strongest handle on their emotional world, so they tend to isolate themselves before saying anything rash or poorly chosen on their part.

Character: Rei Kiriyama (March Comes In Like A Lion) -- ILI-Ni SP5

ILI-TE: Paying attention to their appearance, the ILI-Te subtype can be described as rational and self-confident. They like to put things to the test using analysis. From that, they determine information as trustful when “figures and facts” are used rather than “hastily drawn conclusions.” They might be perceived as even arrogant with their critical nature, but they try to be polite and not impose their thoughts on everybody. They critically view others' shortcomings and sometimes harsh remarks regarding them will slip out, which can cause them to struggle with maintaining smooth connections. They’re adept at deeming certain things as futile or useful, where they avoid futile tasks and take on purposeful projects instead. Character-wise, this subtype is a great evaluator. As mentioned before, they look at situations or projects and evaluate their practicality and usefulness--they prefer realistic goals over idealist and unfeasible ones. They’re good at finding key points to remember from large sums of information, which ends up reaping the most benefits. They appreciate the quality of work over quantity and might find themselves interested in laws and regulations around them. This subtype can be quite stubborn, as they’re rather difficult to reconvince after they’ve reached an opinion of their own as they carry tons of factual figures to prove their points. They don’t surrender to pressure from others either during discussions. They fear becoming dependent on others, so they try to maintain an impression of someone self-sufficient, possibly by rarely becoming true friends with others--having more acquaintances and colleagues rather than close friends. Yet, they still require others’ moral support at the same time, which they don’t like to show. They have a very straightforward manner of speech, where they find it more sincere to discuss flaws instead of handing out compliments 24/7. This behavior might come at the expense of relationships with others and their self-esteem. However, the Te subtype doesn’t like uncomfortable situations, so they’ll try to fix the situation if they ever left a bad impression on someone. Lastly, this subtype can be satisfied with less. They don’t value material items very much and can easily and comfortably live more modestly over extravagantly.

        Character: Michelle Jones (Spider-Man Homecoming) -- ILI-Te SP5

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Foresight: ILI-Ni attempts to foresee the outcomes of events to avoid unexpected outcomes, whereas ILI-Te is more about evaluating an event’s practicality and reasonableness.

B.) Criticality: ILI-Te highlights a more critical and frank nature than ILI-Ni. ILI-Te finds it more sincere to discuss another’s shortcomings at the expense of smooth relations whereas ILI-Ni is more reserved and focused on being not overly harsh in conversations.

  1.  EII

Character: Shigeo Kageyama (Mob Psycho 100) -- EII SP6

EII-FI: Externally, the Fi subtype can be considered polite and distant. They might start a conversation being rather cold or stoic, but this demeanor turns warmer with time and the subtype becomes more expressive with their sympathy and desire to help. They’re very introspective but rarely openly discuss their theories. They have a hard time joking around with others and might be perceived as a “stick in the mud” due to being fearful of talking too much (“excess”). They’re also quite meticulous and they prefer to work in the background of situations rather than taking the leadership role. Character-wise, this subtype is particularly interested in observing the relations between people around them. For the sake of harmonious relationships, they strongly value compromise and understanding.  With these values of their morality, they try to be helpful and attentive to people and forgive people with understanding instead of seeking change from the wrongdoer. When helping others, they try to relate to the intense emotions of others to bring comfort and then give their best advice. They understand others so adeptly, that they don’t need verbal confirmation to see that someone is feeling a certain way. When it comes to the Fi subtypes’ goals, they can defend their interests with stubbornness which allows for their meticulous and focused natures to shine. They often get things done without stress about missing deadlines since they approach tasks logically and they know how to skillfully distribute work over time. However, they struggle to properly assess the quality or time spent on their tasks, making them more insecure in their work than needed. Their fault would be becoming too focused on smaller and insignificant details, they like thoroughness and they try to prepare everything to solidify every detail to not be a burden on others. Lastly, The EII-Fi subtype is a very cautious and distrustful type. This creates a self-controlled and reserved character that restrains their emotional expression around those who are not their close friends. They prefer to reflect on their negative emotions alone and keep their negative comments on others’ flaws to be realized by the other person themselves.

        Character: Kenzo Temna (Monster) -- EII-Fi SP4

EII-NE: The EII-Ne’s appearance follows a firm yet friendly demeanor. They like to show goodwill and they like to advise those that they are closer to. They are skilled in utilizing their imagination and creativity to explore different types of symbolism and theories. They try not to say negative things to others but they might let comments of indignance or disagreement slip out due to their sensitive and more emotional core--they later come to regret these comments. Character-wise, the Ne subtype is quite curious and perceptive. They desire to understand the essence of various phenomena and are good at perceiving the potential of people and/or projects. They enjoy contemplating ideas and might display an intrigue in ethical or philosophical dilemmas. They might dislike monotonous tasks because of their interest in tasks that require evaluation and novel thinking instead of routine projects. They might barely meet deadlines for assignments due to the postponement of monotonous tasks. They’re a distrustful type that tries to defend their emotions using logic and takes a bit to be fully convinced of logic they didn’t originally follow. This subtype struggles to deal with loneliness and requires the sincerity and attention of those they are close to. They also struggle with forgiveness and view that easily forgiving others will “corrupt those who deserve to be punished.” They rarely find themselves forgiving betrayal and often end the relationship. Even then, they struggle with ending the friendship due to a lack of general volition and fear of being perceived as unfair. As mentioned before, they might say a harsh comment to the wrongdoer, but will hesitate at first in fear of being perceived as unkind and ruining the relationship between them--even if they don’t like them. The Ne subtype is prone to doubting themselves and others. This can come across as being rather demanding of others and teaching their ways of doing things to others. When it comes to themselves, their doubt comes off as indecisiveness and becoming overly worried or agitated over smaller situations. To have an optimistic person to soothe their nervousness and uncertainty would be beneficial to this type. This ideal person would give evaluations of their work and get them to stay on task; away from unnecessary projects or people. Lastly, this subtype is modest in how they display their style as well, wanting to not stand out among others. They easily take strong offense to negative comments about their appearance yet even become skeptical when receiving compliments.

Character: Hughie Campbell (The Boys) -- EII-Ne SP6

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Restrained: EII-Fi is more emotionally inhibited than EII-Ne. EII-Fi tends to reserve their emotional displays for their close circle of friends/family, whereas EII-Ne is a bit more naturally expressive with their emotions through their more erratic character and harsh comments.

B.) Unforgiving: EII-Ne is more unforgiving than EII-Fi. EII-Ne feels that easily forgiving others deludes wrongdoers and struggles to forgive betrayal, whereas EII-Fi seeks to forgive with understanding and compromise.

  1. ESI

        Character: Zuko -- ESI-Se SP4

ESI-FI: Appearance-wise, the Fi subtype comes across as modest and gentle. Looking deeper into their inner traits, they can be rigid and distrustful. They have stubborn and sensitive minds, which, combined with their high ethical standards, create a very critical and principled person. The Fi subtype can critique a lot of the things around them but might not outwardly voice a lot of their criticisms. They’re very hard workers as well, which adds to their uncompromising nature alluded to above with the trait “stubborn.” Character-wise, the ESI-Fi subtype is responsible and polite when conversing with others. They’re constantly analyzing others’ actions to determine their morality, “condemning” people for “violations” of their subjective moral code. However, they try to stay tolerant of others’ flaws (since they notice the flaws of others easily). This analyzing behavior contributes to their distrustful character. They’re deathly afraid of making mistakes due to their other fear of disappointing others. They remember mistakes for a long time, and can even store others’ mistakes in their mind-vault to bring up later for a specific point. Back to their fear, due to this fear of making mistakes, they will naturally analyze the situations around them to prepare for any unexpected events. With this methodical thinking, they tend to be very punctual and reliable. The Fi subtype is very meticulous when it comes to their work. They aren’t ones who easily give up, so this makes them very duty-oriented and people who do not tend to procrastinate. They might even become blind at times to the amount of work they do, overworking themselves and not seeing the physical repercussions from that. Lastly, they highly value relations and friendship. They can be selfless when it comes to helping out their bond with their tasks. They also tend to only share their vulnerable side to their close bonds, which makes them all the more unforgiving if they were to be betrayed. On the down low, this type can be shy and indecisive, needing praise and compliments from others.

        Character: Pearl (Steven Universe) -- ESI-Fi SP4

ESI-SE: Appearance-wise, the Se subtype is critical and guarded. Internally they are more emotional and sensitive, but they try to cover this side of themselves up with a tough and cold exterior demeanor which can make them seem unapproachable or intimidating. Due to their more private nature, they tend to keep a distance from others and might dislike being analyzed or evaluated by others around them. Character-wise, the ESI-Se is quite strong-willed and practical. They can be energetic about their work and handle multiple tasks at once, which creates an efficient character. Challenges and life obstacles give them the zest to find quick and creative solutions to exit the situation as fast as possible. They’re also very observant in the way that they can find their opponent in a problem’s weakest spot and hit it where it hurts. Adding onto that idea of an opponent, they tend to see people as “theirs” (possessive) or “others” (possessive), kind of like an “us vs. them” mindset. They dislike those who are lazy or disingenuous. The Se subtype doesn’t tend to be very forgiving of rudeness and they are usually the ones to break up relations between themself and others. Additionally, they are naturally distrustful of others. On the contrasting “us” side, the Se subtype can be very talkative and comedic with their close relations, even being considered entertaining for their jokes and pranks. They are adept at placing their emotions appropriately like being serious when they’re with a serious person, etc. They’re incredible protectors of themselves as well as those around them. On the topic of them being around others, even though they don’t like others evaluating them, they tend to evaluate others objectively when meeting them to determine their practicality, or good use for the future. This can create a good leader archetype for the ESI-Se, where they are decisive, adaptive, and surround themselves with practical people. They swiftly take initiative in concrete activities and can be assertive too. However, they don’t easily tolerate hesitance from others since they are more impatient--they like to find quick solutions. In this case, they might go back and forth between goals but will end up getting serious and making the right choice when it comes down to the last moment, highlighting their unplanned nature. For this, they might dislike change-- they highly value stability.

        Character: Kendall Roy (Succession) -- ESI-Se SX4

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Gentle: ESI-Fi has a more polite, warm, and gentle demeanor than ESI-Se who has a cold, tough, and guarded exterior.

B.) Evaluation of Practicality: ESI-Se objectively analyzes others for their practical abilities, whereas ESI-Fi subjectively analyzes others for their moral code violations and ethical character.

  1. LII

        Character: Viktor (Arcane) -- LII-Ti SO5

LII-TI: Appearance wise, the Ti subtype of LII can usually be found to be calm, collected, and serious. This subtype tends to act quite genuinely; not engaging in discussions that don’t interest them, expressing any dislike of others’ wrong behaviors, and speaking clearly and truthfully without much dramatization. It is noted that they might keep up an external image of a cold and balanced individual, but their facial expressions might express their internal emotions impulsively and unexpectedly in some cases. Character-wise, the Ti subtype can be noted to have great analytical skills, specifically in areas having to do with categorization, classifications, or generalizations of facts. They prioritize business, efficiency, and realism--distrusting new ideas (that might seem too impractical for example) until they pass through their own lens of logic and perspective, then they’ll fully support them without prioritizing their emotions and comfort. The Ti subtype is also definitely introverted socially as well usually, since they don’t prefer to take initiative to meet new people and lack flexibility and diplomacy. They aren’t very upset with this behavior, since they aren’t particularly desiring the sympathy of those around them. They have a difficult time seeing where others relate to them, so they might seem self-focused when it comes to communicating with them, as they prefer to discuss subjective interests of their own since they don’t like to waste time discussing things that don’t interest them. They are content with the minimum, and don’t really wish to live lives of luxury and grandeur. With that idea of not liking to waste time on extraneous projects, the LII-Ti is quite purposeful in the things they do--not liking to multitask, but preferring to focus on a set objective and persist on that item utilizing their meticulous and hardworking nature. They are responsible people, keeping their promises of duty, but this isn’t coming from a personal moral of responsibility, but rather from their inclination to maintain discipline through formal and structured schemas. Lastly, They can be stubborn as well, taking criticism from others coolly and disliking when others might try to dictate them to do things a certain way other than their own way--while not preferring to, they can defend themselves well.

        Character: Albedo (Genshin Impact) -- LII-Ti SO5

LII-NE: Appearance-wise, the Ne subtype of LII is soft, restrained, and attentive. When it comes to communication, the LII-Ne wishes to win over their partner by impressing them with their knowledge or giving advice--which is when their cold and serious demeanor can soften and become warmer as “goodwill permeates his voice.” They’re not as absolute in their behaviors → as they aren’t resolute in their statements yet stubborn with their actions, and can keep quiet during discussions yet won’t change their opinion. They’re external image is usually well-managed in terms of emotions, but this melts away in times of nervousness and unease. Character-wise, the Ne subtype carries a lot of curiosity and intrigue when it comes to analyzing the new and novel. Accompanied by their rich imagination and creativity, they are able to evaluate prospects such as new ideas and how to make them practical with ease and joy--but they may tire quickly from repetitive research, so they’ll need to switch things up every so often. They are driven by interest, less duty and structure. In terms of social life, the LII-Ne can be quite reserved and can tire easily from social interaction, which results in keeping others at a distance and not sharing much of their private life. They can be distrustful of others, but can reciprocate feelings towards their bonds and be attentive and supportive towards their problems. They might fear dependence, so any attempts to invade their independence will result in fleeing. Someone that suggests things to them lightly and is optimistic, strong-spirited, and lively would be their ideal match. On the negative side, the Ne subtype can be too uncompromising with their principles and ideas, struggling with tolerating weakness in others around them and accepting new perspectives. They have difficulty admitting their wrong and/or changing established principles, habits, or conclusions based on newly presented facts. Internally they may see that they should change their beliefs from new evidence, but they avoid this internal conflict out of a fear of losing control and the respect of others. Lastly, the Ne subtype struggles to complete mundane chores and is prone to postponing projects around them, even when they know they need some work.

        Character: Dipper Pines -- LII-Ne SO6

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Duty Oriented: LII-Ti is responsible for the sake of maintaining order and duty through structured and formal systems, LII-Ne acts more based on their interest and intrigue while prioritizing structure and duty less.

B.) Winning Interest: LII-Ne likes to gain sympathy and impress others with their advice or knowledge, LII-Ti is less concerned with winning others over and is colder than the warmer Ne subtype.

  1. LSI

Character: Levi Ackerman (AOT) -- LSI SX6

LSI-TI: Appearance-wise, the Ti subtype can be notably described as imperturbable, specific, collected, and polite. They dislike ambiguity and tend to clarify every detail which others may deem unnecessary. This ability to explain in great specifics comes accompanied with their unhurried lifestyle, where they like to receive thorough information for extensive amounts of time in regards to their questions. They have great amounts of perseverance and enjoy supporting and encouraging others who need aid. Character-wise, LSI-Ti is someone who has incredible tenacity and realistic problem-solving skills. They’ll consistently overcome obstacles without complaining, and they try to plan everything meticulously since they dislike improvising, change, and instability. They lack flexibility because of this, and might struggle to work with people (only being tolerant of the flaws of people close to them) and take into account individual abilities. Objective matters have more value over personal relations to them, so they quite like solitude and can tire quickly of socializing with others. The Ti subtype loves concreteness. They’re cautious and careful when making decisions, and remain dedicated to tasks until their completion. They dislike slacking behavior on others’ parts due to their strict sense of duty. LSI-Ti also only trusts official sources of information, less stained with possible emotion-driven biases. They often make good leaders due to being able to resuscitate any regulations and small details they know of, and clearly establishing a work schedule, chain of command, and order to the project. In these projects, they’re very practical and don’t let themselves nor others fall into idealistic fantasies. Lastly, they’re rather private people. They don’t like to share their feelings so as to not burden others with them (only close bonds in extreme cases) and they can distrust “light-hearted” individuals in fear of their attitude being fake.

        Character: Megumi Fushiguro -- LSI-Ti SX6

LSI-SE: Appearance-wise, the LSI-Se is restless, stubborn, and demanding. They’re internally emotional--they might enter conflicts when they feel like their opinions were disrespected. The Se subtype observes others for possible mistakes they make, and then either delivers reprimanding statements or takes over the project and does it themselves. In conversation, they try to get close to their partner but don’t want to get too close--avoiding sensitivity and affection. Character-wise, the Se subtype is persistent, willful, and efficient. LSI-Se tends to be very resourceful and can practically adapt to new/extreme situations. They have considerable amounts of confidence in their opinions since they form them with experience, and they are able to protect their interests with spirit. With this in mind, they dislike when people oppose them or try to impose their opinions or methods onto them--they’ll distrust these new ideas and oppose them with their stubborn nature. In leadership roles, they do a good job at “tightening the screws” and having their subordinates work conscientiously. They’ll usually oppose established regulations and do things their way--becoming forceful when opposed by them or others. They struggle to consider individual abilities, and give everyone the same responsibility, for better or for worse. They’re a very hardworking subtype, and take on many projects and chores that they feel they can do better than others. LSI-Se also tends to be very private--they don’t like to share or discuss their emotional world without reciprocation from their close bond, and struggles to find internal balance. Sometimes they will have outbursts which can result in having difficulty maintaining stable relationships from their straightforward character. They keep a tough exterior for the most part, however, due to their endurance for hardships. Lastly, the Se subtype finds it a duty to be attentive and show sympathy to others in trying times, yet doesn’t tend to pry or ask about others’ personal lives other than out of politeness. They struggle with seeing how others relate to them--doubting others’ sincerity, or confusing their desire to be loved for actual love from others.

        Character: Mother’s Milk (The Boys) -- LSI-Se SO6

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Extensive Explaining: LSI-Ti prefers to listen or list lengthy amounts of information to vanquish any ambiguity or unknown elements, while LSI-Se would prefer to leave some details unchecked instead of an extensive investigation.

B.) Resourceful: LSI-Se adapts practically and quickly to improvisation or new/extreme situations, whereas LSI-Ti dislikes improving and prefers to plan out everything meticulously beforehand.

  1. SEI

Character: Denji (Chainsaw Man) -- SEI SX9

SEI-SI: The Si subtype can be displayed through one’s calm demeanor. They have a calming presence that even coaxes others nearby them, creating a well-liked character by many. They sympathize with others and wish to provide unobtrusive assistance and comfort. They might enjoy discussing their own and others’ sensory or perceiving experiences, and they can talk about the same subject for a long amount of time without getting very bored. Character-wise, the SEI-Si is a subtype that is considered very caring and considerate. They will consider the needs of those around them to keep the social atmosphere harmonious. They're Curious yet critical of information, as they dislike exaggerations and stick with the facts. They enjoy small discussions but dislike when an opposing opinion situation becomes aggressive as that disturbs their valued peace. This subtype can be hesitant to start new projects because they can persuade people to support them easily using an informal tone to convey benefits, but struggles to see actual promise within these projects. They’re afraid to make mistakes and take the blame for them, hence, they aren’t ones to eagerly jump from project to project. The SEI-Si often tries to be a mediator, where they stay neutral and find themselves with good relationships between both parties within a quarrel. They’re amiable to a fault, as they struggle with saying “No” to others. They turn this outward, trying to be as non-intrusive as possible to avoid making others feel the discomfort they wish to avoid themselves. This subtype prefers to make compromises using informal communication versus one side winning over the other. They’re reluctant to criticize others and even feel uncomfortable when someone is criticized near them. They have a great memory for sensory experiences and might have a love for nature--the simple things that carry a lot of details to them. They like to work and learn with their hands but might be viewed externally as lazy since they make many commitments due to fear of failure. Lastly, this subtype is private. They don’t like burdening others by asking for help nor do they like to draw attention to themselves since they feel that nobody is interested in them. (Sorry guys.)

        Character: Ganyu (Genshin Impact) -- SEI-Si SX9

SEI-FE: Externally, the SEI-Fe type can be viewed as lively and friendly. They’re emotionally invested and responsive in their communication style, as they pay compliments to others with ease to close the distance between an awkward conversation. They can even lead others in communication with their lack of restraint which can be very enjoyable for conversation partners. They can fluctuate from shy to comedic quickly depending on the situation at hand. They’re a pretty forgiving type, but there often is a time when they will get upset but this usually doesn’t last very long. They like to give their cheerful services to others in need and will often hide their negative emotions to not let them get in the way of motivating and encouraging others--they’re quite hospitable. Character-wise, this subtype is appreciative of the human experience. They enjoy interacting with others and aim to partake in pleasant things for their pleasure as well as others. They might have a lot of acquaintances but have a small ring of close friends. They dislike those who are cold or arrogant, as they create a restricted and uncomfortable atmosphere whereas the SEI-Fe tries to create the opposite. With these people, they will seem more anxious and cautious. They’re well-informed about the nuances of human emotion. They readily display their emotions and pay attention to others’ displays as well. This subtype tries to solve problems right away as they dislike doubt, but still dislike to burden others with requests for help and prefer to solve their problems privately. For this, they could be considered impatient as they don’t like waiting for results and would rather just make quick and hasty decisions. They’re a more optimistic type, where they see failures as something not worth mulling over and find enjoyment in starting many projects and juggling various tasks at the same time.

Character: Eiji Okumura (Banana Fish) -- SEI-Fe SX9

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Doubtfulness: SEI-Si is more likely to doubt themselves compared to SEI-Fe. SEI-Si feels they’ll fail at various projects, hence, they aren’t ones to tackle new projects (especially multiple at the same time), unlike the SEI-Fe.

B.) Hospitality: SEI-Fe is more focused on the aid of others compared to SEI-Si. SEI-Fe makes it their core mission to help support others and will hide their negative emotions to do so. SEI-Si will help others as well, just not as intensely.

  1. SLI

Character: Wendy Corduroy (Gravity Falls) -- SLI SP9

SLI-SI: This Si subtype can be externally viewed as composed and logical. They support their logical thinking with rationality and physical evidence rather than theory and assumptions. They’re diligent and consistent in their work ethic styles, always trying to improve as well as finish projects they start while aiming for high quality in their work. This type enjoys simplicity. They like material goods of unpretentious quality--homemade items are something they enjoy the quality and originality of. Character-wise, the SLI-Si type is quite the individualist. Yet, they prefer to be in the background due to their modest nature at the same time. They have a practical approach to things, and they could be considered masters of continuous intrinsic motivation. They’re a very curious type that likes to see different ways they can apply their abilities (without taking excessively large risks) but may feel disappointed with themselves for missing out on opportunities due to poor vision of prospects. They like experiences of convenience and delicacy. They prioritize personal peace and the freedom within that. They dislike disruptors like crass and prideful behavior as well as the use of pathos and abstract conversations--this subtype is uncompromising in their principles. They admire bold, encouraging, open, and unpredictable people to ignite that curiosity and self-esteem within them. This subtype is restrained in emotional expression externally, but internally is very vulnerable. Conflict-avoidant and diplomatic, they create an atmosphere of ease. Lastly, the SLI-Si type is extremely sensitive to discomfort. They can be fearful for their health and therefore like to take care of themselves and their loved ones.

        Character: Langa Hasegawa (Sk8 the Infinity) -- SLI-Si SP9

SLI-TE: This Te subtype can be externally seen as quite active as they enjoy frequent changes in their worlds. Their behavior is quite unpredictable, as they’ll range from a contemplative state to an active one. This highlights their impatient nature, always wanting quick results and not being too wordy of a character themselves. A resolute type that can be very blunt and prickly toward others, but is more considerate and friendly in conversation towards those that have earned this subtype’s respect. If they do notice they’ve hurt someone’s feelings, they’ll often regret it and lighten their conversational style such as making more jokes. They dislike discomfort and therefore will fix everything around them to be reliable and convenient. Character-wise, this SLI-Te subtype is quick-thinking and practical. They dislike old, primitive, or clichéd working methods. When presented with a new idea, however, at first they will be skeptical until they polish and refine it, to obtain concrete results most efficiently--“Knows how to squeeze the most out of an idea.” They are individualistic, as they prefer to solve problems on their own with their own time and materials without the trouble of having to depend on anyone. They are highly professional and like to be praised for their efforts and abilities. They are sensitive to criticisms of their works, yet dislike undeserved compliments. The Te subtype is also very curious, they strive to be knowledgeable in a diverse array of topics, as they learn and can teach quickly as well. They’re quite obstinate and dislike making compromises. When trying to defend their opinion with someone arguing against them, they can get hot-tempered. They are reluctant to talk with those who are not like-minded to them and will often withdraw into themself and become cold and unapproachable when this occurs. Lastly, this type takes things very seriously and strongly dislikes hypocrisy, and when others try to limit their freedom.

Character: Annie Leonhardt (Attack On Titan) -- SLI-Te SP9

DIFFERENCES:

A.) Intrinsic Motivation: SLI-Si is more intrinsically motivated than the more extrinsically motivated SLI-Te. SLI-Si is more going to improve their intellectual and material skills for the sake of basic personal improvement, whereas SLI-Te (while not entirely) can be seen craving praise and acknowledgment of their improvements.

B.) Temperamental: SLI-Te is more temperamental than the more collected SLI-Si. An SLI-Te’s behavior can quickly maneuver from reflective to action-oriented whereas SLI-Si remains with a more flattened balance between the two overall.
