Building/maintaining a PLN

Do what works for you. If you aren’t sure where to start, try this.

  1. Lurk for awhile:
  1. #edchat - Twitter, Google+
  2. #edtech - Twitter, Google+
  3. #gafesummit - Twitter, Google+
  4. Google+ Communities - EdTech Team Summits, Google Apps in Education, Google Apps for Education, and so many more.
  1. Organize connections to like-minded folks
  1. Clarify your social media philosophy: Who do you follow? Who do you follow back? Who do you unfollow?
  2. Twitter - follow and/or add to lists
  3. Google+ - circles
  1. Re-share links
  2. Reply to posts (Google+ is conversation-friendly)
  3. Share links. Use 1 or 2 meaningful hashtags.
