1.A. Overview

In this Google Doc, you will find email addresses and links to every broadcaster of Eurovision so that you can contact your own country’s broadcaster directly and voice your support of removing Israel from Eurovision 2024. The broadcasters found in this list are the ones who took part in 2023/are most likely going to be competing again in 2024.

At the end of this doc, there will also be a copy/paste email template that you are fully free and encouraged to use in your correspondence. We want to make it very known that we do NOT want Israel participating in ESC as long as they’re still actively carrying out a genocide against Gaza/the Palestinian people in Gaza as well as Palestinians who live within Israel.

2. B. EMAIL TEMPLATE

English Version by: Beatrice Quinn

To {RECIPIENT NAME/BROADCASTER NAME}, my name is {YOUR NAME} and I’m writing to you from {YOUR COUNTRY}. I hope this email finds you well amidst the growing uncertainty of the world. I know you’re already aware of the ongoing conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip. I understand it’s a tough topic for many to approach, but I wanted to write to you in hopes of sharing my thoughts with you. As a citizen of a country that has the privilege of being represented at Eurovision, it is my opinion that Israel should be removed from the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. The reasoning for this is concerned entirely with the actions of their military and government, not the Israeli people, nor the Jewish religion/culture. I understand Eurovision is an apolitical event, but certain global events can reach a point where politics must no longer be ignored and action must be taken.

As a viewer of your broadcasts, I think the best action to take would be withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest if the European Broadcasting Union does not exclude Israel from participating. This decision would be similar to Russia’s exclusion in 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine. I understand a country’s government does not represent the people within it, but we could not ignore Russia’s actions once Ukrainians were harmed. We cannot ignore the sheer volume of innocent children and civilians, including medical staff and journalists who continue to be displaced, hurt, and killed by Israel’s disproportionate actions.

Please strongly consider withdrawing from Eurovision 2024 if Israel is not removed from the contest. Your involvement in the contest means more to the EBU than our viewing numbers. Please take action. Thank you.
