Havoc Games Rules

This document is to be transparent and lay out what is and isn’t allowed on the server, this is not a resource to be used for dodging punishment or testing boundaries.

Do not attempt to use loopholes or semantics to bypass rules, staff may use reasonable discretion to apply punishments under the rule(s) you were trying to bypass.
Moderators and above are allowed to use their own discretion when it comes to punishments if the punishment is not explicitly defined. This includes reasonable changes to punishment time/appeals on a case-by-case basis.

If you want to appeal a punishment, you must do it on the forums. Appeals on the discord will be closed and redirected to the forums. Punishments on the discord are the same, they are to be appealed to on the forums.

If the forums are down, then you are allowed to appeal on discord.

You agree to being screenshared at any time by a Moderator or above to check you for unallowed modifications and/or evasion of a punishment.

Refusal to screenshare will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

Owners of Havoc Games reserve the right to remove any player from their server and all associated Havoc Games properties.

This may be for any reason without warning at any time.

Failure to read or understand this document is not grounds for any punishment to be removed if you break our rules, regardless of intent.

GENERAL NOTES

When being punished for multiple severe punishments at once, they may stack together and cause your punishment time and/or appeal time to increase.

“Elapsed mutes” are mutes that require you to be online and active for the mute timer to decrease. If you disconnect from the server or are AFK, the mute countdown will pause until you reconnect.

If you have to ask staff “should/can I do this and that”, you probably shouldn’t do it.

CHAT RELATED OFFENSES

» Chat Spam / Encouraging Spam / Spambotting

Sending the same or similar message, flooding out chat, encouraging players to flood the chat, and any similar infraction.

There are multiple types of spamming, possible punishments are as follows:

Chat Spam/Character Spam

First offense - Warning (skipped if severe)
Further offenses - 1 hour elapsed mute to 6 month mute

Inciting/Encouraging Spam

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 7 day to permanent mute

Spambotting

First offense - Permanent ban

Notes:

If it’s clear a player is a bot by sending the same message over and over again without stopping, it will be considered a spam bot.

» Filter Bypass

Any means of bypassing the chat filter, intentionally or not. If a higher level punishment is broken while using said bypass (such as racism), that higher punishment will be applied instead.

Punishments for filter bypass are as follows:

Filter Bypass (without a more severe rule break)

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 1 hour elapsed mute to 12 month mute

Notes:

Bypasses in other languages are punishable as well. Even if these phrases are not filtered in that language.

» Inappropriate Chat / Extremely Inappropriate Chat

Any sexual talk or generally inappropriate behavior in chat.

Extremely inappropriate chat is considered to be: jokes about pedophilia, zoophilia, necrophilia, terrorism, joking about sexual assault in any way, or anything else that senior staff deems to be extreme.

Punishments for inappropriate chatting are as follows:

Inappropriate chat

First offense - Warning (skipped if severe)
Further offenses - 3 hour elapsed mute to permanent mute

Extremely inappropriate chat

First offense - 1 month mute (skipped if severe)
Further offenses - 6 month to permanent mute

Pedophilia

First offense - Permanent ban + IP ban

» Toxicity / Harassment

Individually targeting/harassing players or being toxic/extremely rude in general.

Toxicity and harassment punishments are as follows:

Harassment (mute if verbal, ban if physical)

First offense - Warning (skipped if constant or severe)
Further offenses - 3 day to permanent punishment

Toxicity

First offense - Warning (uses “Severe Toxicity” punishment line if severe)
Further offenses - 3 day to permanent mute

» Severe Toxicity / Suicide Encourgement / Death Wishes

Targeting and/or harassing players using graphic/extreme language or personal information. This will become a Doxxing + Severe Toxicity punishment if doxxing information is included.

Telling other players to do harm to themselves, or expressing a desire for harm to be done on them, regardless of intent.

Punishments for severe toxicity are as follows:

Severe toxicity

First offense - 1 month mute (skipped if excessive or spammed)
Further offenses - 3 month to permanent mute

Suicide encouragement & death wishes

First offense - 3 month mute (skipped if excessive or spammed)
Further offenses - 6 month to permanent mute

» Racism / Homophobia / Discrimination

This includes prejudiced, hateful comments against any people or group.

We do not tolerate any derogatory language, the punishments are as follows:

Racism, discrimination, and homophobia

First offense - 2 month mute (skipped if severe or spammed)
Further offenses - 6 month to permanent mute

Hate speech

First offense - 6 month ban (skipped if spammed)
Further offenses - 12 month to permanent ban

Notes:

Anything that is discriminatory falls under this category.

» Doxxing

Doxxing is releasing any player’s private information without their explicit consent. This includes names, addresses, private social media accounts, and anything else moderation staff considers as doxxing. Information of family/friends of the target also does count. This does not include gender, age, or country.

Doxxing in any way is not tolerated, the punishments are as follows:

General doxxing

First offense - 2 to 6 month mute/ban
Further offenses - 12 month to permanent mute/ban

Severe cases (sensitive information, mass doxxing, info spam, multiple types at once, etc)

First offense - Permanent ban

Notes:

It’s best to not reveal personal information about anyone at any time.

If you are punished for this but were given permission by the target, it’s up to you to prove you were allowed to release that information.

» IRL Advertising / Server Advertising

Messaging multiple players with another server’s IP or encouraging people to join a different server in chat.

Posting messages into public or private chat requesting a trade with real-world currency for in-game resources (not involving the Havoc store).

There are a few forms of advertising, the punishments are as follows:

IRL deal advertisement

First offense - Warning (skipped if spammed)
Further offenses - 3 hour elapsed mute to permanent mute

Server advertisement

First offense - Permanent mute

Spamming/flooding server advertisements (flooding public chat with an IP/server name)

First offense - Permanent ban

Notes:

Advertising IRL deals on any havoc medium is cause for punishment, including in-game public chats and private chats, havoc discord server, forums, etc.

» Abuse of /staff, /helpop, or /lagreport

Unnecessary use of /staff, /helpop or /report. This includes using them to bash staff members, make threats, or do anything besides requesting help or reporting a player.

Punishments for staff request abuse is as follows:

Misuse of /staffhelp commands or /lagreport

First offense - Warning to 3 day ban
Further offenses - 7 day to permanent ban

Severe misuse with extreme hate

First offense - 1 month ban
Further offenses - 6 month to permanent ban

Notes:

Requesting help (either through /staff commands or directly asking) with the intention to kill them falls under this rule. For example: A player requesting help that requires the staff member to be physically present, and then killing them upon teleportation.

» Staff Impersonation

Claiming to be a staff member of Havoc Games of any kind is punishable. This includes build staff, moderation, management, development, ownership, any sort of official havoc bot, etc.

There are multiple “groups” of staff people can pose as, punishments are as follow:

Impersonating build staff

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 3 day to permanent ban

Impersonating moderation+ staff

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 7 day to permanent ban

» Serious Threats

Extreme threats against any player or the server. SWAT, DDos, death, sexual, etc.

Seriously threatening players or the server is not tolerated, punishments are as follows:

General threats

First offense - 2 to 3 month mute
Further offenses - 6 month to permanent mute

» Intent to DDoS/DDoSing/SWAT a Player

Having the intent to DDos/SWAT a player or preparing/planning on it.

DDosing/SWATTING are very serious rule breaks and felonies, punishments are as follows:

DDosing/SWATTING a player or the server

First offense - Permanent ban + IP ban

» IP Loggers

Sending an IP logger in the chat disguised as a legitimate link. This includes IP loggers sent over Discord.

IP loggers are a very serious rule break, punishments are as follows:

Sending an IP logger (publicly and/or privately)

First offense - Permanent ban

Notes:

Don’t click suspicious links sent by other players.

CLIENT MODIFICATION OFFENCES

» Unallowed Modifications

Using any unallowed modifications or client that provides an unfair advantage over other players.

We do not tolerate cheating of any kind, punishments are as follows:

Unallowed modifications (as detailed in the Allowed Modifications list)

First offense - Permanent ban
Further offenses - Permanent ban with longer appeal times

Notes:

Chat macros are allowed, any other types are not.

Minimaps with players shown are not allowed on any server.

VR is not compatible with the server, so we do not allow it, punishments are as follows:

Use of VR

First offense - Warning and kick
Further offenses - 1 day to permanent ban

SERVER RELATED OFFENSES

» Refusal to Screenshare

Refusing to screenshare when frozen, including ignoring, stalling, or leaving the game whilst frozen.

We screenshare players at times to verify they aren’t rule breaking, punishments for refusing are as follows:

Refusing a screenshare or stalling a screenshare attempt

First offense - Permanent ban

» Inappropriate Skin/Username/Team Name/Builds

Having a skin, username or team name that is deemed inappropriate or offensive.

Any name used to discriminate, harass or negatively impact any group/player/staff. Any name including severe bypasses (slurs, inappropriate topics, etc).

Punishments for inappropriate content are as follows:

Inappropriate skin/username

First action - Verbal warning to change the skin/username
If warnings are ignored - Permanent ban (appealable when changed)
Further offenses - Permanent ban (appeal time will vary after changed)

Inappropriate base/team name

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 3 day to permanent ban

Inappropriate builds - Remove the offending build

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 3 day to permanent ban

» Glitch and Exploit Abuse

Abuse of server setup, bugs, or glitches and exploiting the map to gain unfair advantages over other players.

There are different types of bug abuse, punishments are as follows:

General bug/map/feature exploiting

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 3 day to permanent ban

Duping

First offense - 3 month to permanent ban (items/money will be removed)

Notes:

If you are unsure if something is exploiting a mechanic or potential bug, ask a Moderator+ for clarification.

» Punishment Evasion

Using alternate accounts to bypass a ban or a mute on another account.

There are different types of evasion, the punishments are as follows:

Evasion through alts

First offense - Original punishment will be applied to all accounts
Further offenses - An additional amount of time will be added to original punishment to all accounts, or made permanent

Major evasion through alts

First offense - Permanent ban to all accounts

Notes:

Mass evading on numerous alts at once (or in quick succession) will be considered major evasion and result in an immediate permanent ban.

If you are found to be evading a punishment for a significant amount of time before being caught, senior staff may decide to extend your main punishment, even on your first evasion offense.

Evading a skin or name ban is not punishable.

» IRL Scamming

It is not allowed to scam any item/pack/rank that can be bought for a player from the havoc store, as well as vouchers that are used to buy items in game.

IRL currency, paypal, venmo, or IRL possessions off server are not protected.

Punishments for IRL scamming are as follows:

IRL Scamming

First offense - 6 month ban
Further offenses - 12 month to permanent ban

Notes:

Players should use a middleman; a trusted member of the community or a friend of yours for example

» Accomplice

Knowingly helping another person break the rules, or being aware of a rule breaker/evader and choosing not to report it to staff is considered being an accomplice.

Withholding evidence of someone breaking the rules in order to get someone punished in the future, or to use it as blackmail is considered being an accomplice.

Accomplice punishments are as follows:

Accomplice

First offense - 1 month minimum ban
Further offenses - 3 month to permanent ban

Notes:

If it is overwhelmingly clear that someone is an evader (low level, veteran PvP skills, no stats, using TMD “lingo” in chat, randomly generated/bot username, etc), then you should be wary of them and not team with them.

If it is deemed that you were in a situation where you should reasonably have known that you were helping a rule breaker, you will be punished accordingly. This will be assessed by members of the senior team on a case-by-case basis.

» Falsifying Evidence

Falsifying evidence; screenshots, videos, or logs to get another player falsely punished. Staging or altering evidence being provided for a refund to gain items that they did not actually have is included.

“Victim punishment time” is what the victim would’ve received. The longer time will be used between the two options

Altering evidence is something we take very seriously, punishments are as follows:

Altering punishment evidence

First offense - 6 month mute/ban or victim punishment time
Further offenses - Permanent mute/ban

Altering/staging refund evidence - Blacklist from future refunds

First offense - 3 month ban
Further offenses - 12 month to permanent ban

» Base Limit Bypassing

Having bases on alternate accounts is considered an attempt to bypass the base limit.

Alts can’t own bases, punishments are as follows:

Base limit abuse - Extra bases will be removed

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 7 day to permanent ban

Notes:

This is per-server, not globally. You can have 3 bases on PvP and then 3 more on PvE.

» Abuse of Alts

Abusing alts in any way to boost a main account.

This includes but is not limited to:

Voting
Advent rewards
Farming achievements
Farming kills
Completing quests

Punishments for alt abuse are as follows:

Alt abuse

First offense - Warning
Further offenses - 3 day to 1 month ban

Major alt abuse

First offense - 1 month ban
Further offenses - 6 month to permanent ban

Notes:

Punishments will be applied to all accounts that were used.

Alt abuse will turn into major alt abuse if it is deemed that the number of accounts used for boosting and/or time spent boosting is excessive. This also includes if the rewards gained were significant.

Friends who join solely to boost someone’s main account will be considered as alt boosting as well.

» Stealing Assets / Unallowed Use of Assets

Using any Havoc Games asset; logos, models, textures or maps without sufficient permission, doubly so if profit is made off of them.

Punishments for alt abuse are as follows:

Stealing assets

First offense - Permanent ban

Notes:

Assets may be used if you have express direct permission from a Havoc owner or TMD’s manager. Permission from any other rank is insufficient.
