Dear Wake County NC Families,

Many families in our school and community deal with food insecurity and unfortunately, this is going to be compounded by the recent slow downs and closures due to Covid-19 virus related concerns.  We have compiled a list of area food pantries to ease some of the burden during this time.

If you are able to help, please contact the organizations below. Please note monetary donations, gift cards for food or gas, bus passes and other non-tangible food items are always needed, especially now. Food donations must be pre-packaged and non-perishable,  unless otherwise noted by the individual food pantry. No glass packaging allowed!

Additional food pantries can be found at

Following list is created by Wake Government and has verified functioning food pantries as of 3/17/2020

Additionally, Briarcliff Elementary, (1220 Pond St, Cary NC), will be providing school meals Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:00pm.

If you know of a family that lacks transportation, we are diligently working with volunteers and the police/fire departments to arrange delivery.  If you know a family that would benefit from this service, please email kirksummerfoods@gmail.com.  We cannot guarantee delivery, but we will do our best!

Thank you for your support of children!
