🗺️ How to Use SEA’s LifeWise Program Map (Step-by-Step Walkthrough)

If you’re opening the map for the first time, here’s exactly how to read it and what you’re seeing 👇

🔵 First: what the dots mean

Each dot on the map represents a SCHOOL DISTRICT — not a single school.

Many districts have multiple schools, and LifeWise programs are often approved or managed at the district level, even if only one school is involved at first.

That’s why one dot represents several schools- and those schools will be shown

🔍 On the LEFT side: search your district

On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a search bar.

  1. Type your district name into the search bar

  • Example: Van Wert (Where LifeWise originated)

  1. The results will show EVERY district in the country with that name

  • This is important: district names repeat

  • Always check the city and state to make sure you’re selecting the correct one

📋 Still on the LEFT: district results list

Once you search, a list appears on the left showing:

  • District name

  • City & state

  • The LifeWise launch step for each district

Click the correct district from this list
OR click the dot on the map itself.

Both do the same thing.

****This is where you will notice that your district may seem to appear multiple times - each listing represents a school in that district. The individual schools name is contained inside the detail box that appears on the map.

🗺️ On the MAP: click a dot

When you click a dot on the map, a popup appears showing district-level information, including:

  • School district name

  • City, county, and state

  • The individual schools name

  • How many schools are served

  • Grades impacted

This popup confirms you’re looking at the right district.

⬇️ Scroll DOWN for full details

After selecting a district, scroll down.

This is where people often stop too early.

  • Whether the program has launched

  • The district’s LifeWise launch step (0–11)

  • Signature counts (when available)

  • Whether the program is managed at the school or district level

  • Local Lifewise Program Contact Information
  • Links to LifeWise district pages and other public documentation

➡️ This is how you can tell how many schools are involved and exactly which ones.

📊 Where this data comes from

The map uses verifiable sources, including:

  • LifeWise Academy’s own data and website

  • School district and school websites

  • Public records

  • Parent, educator, and community reports that are confirmed before publishing

  • Institute of Education Science’s National Center for Education Statistics

🕒 The map is updated once per week as new information is verified.

⚠️ Important things to know

  • Early steps do not mean a program is guaranteed to launch

  • Later steps indicate active organizing or a live program
