“In 1984, Dan Branch had the unique opportunity to work on the re-election campaign of President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George H. W. Bush. After graduating from the SMU School of Law and working as a briefing attorney at the Texas Supreme Court, Dan Branch was hired by Reagan/Bush Texas campaign manager Linden Kettlewell to administer the Victory Fund of the Reagan/Bush'84 re-election effort in Texas, reporting directly to Reagan/Bush Texas Co-Chairs, U.S. Senator John Tower and Martha Weisend. The Victory Fund was a joint effort of the Reagan/Bush '84 campaign in Texas and the state Republican party. Dan did meet President Reagan in that capacity at campaign stops in Texas."
