Setting Up Google Calendar on an iPad

You can setup the Calendar app on an iPad (or an iPhone) to automatically sync with your Smithfield Google Calendar. Whenever you add an event to the Calendar app on the iPad, the event will automatically be added to your Google Calendar (and vice versa).

Adding the Smithfield Google Calendar account

  1. Open the “Settings” app on the iPad
  2. Select the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” section on the left and tap “Add Account”
  3. Tap “Other”
  4. Tap “Add CalDAV Account”
  5. Enter in the following information and then tap “Next”
    User Name:
    Smithfield email address
    Smithfield Google account password
    Whatever descriptionyou prefer
  6. Tap “Save”
  7. You should see a new account listed
  8. Now, your Smithfield Google Calendar will automatically sync with the Calendar app on the iPad

Selecting Which Calendars to Sync

If you have access to multiple Google Calendars, you can select which ones to display in the iPad (or iPhone) Calendar app.

  1. Go to the home screen and open the “Calendar” app
  2. Tap “Calendars” at the bottom of the screen
  3. De-select any calendars that you do not want to appear and tap “Done”
