Introduce it:

• who said it (often requires a signal phrase: Bob argues, Bob confirms, Bob responds, etc.)
• what is the context

Produce it:

• paraphrase when you can, direct quote when you must

Comment on it:

• Why is this relevant?
• How is this example helping to prove your thesis statement?
• How does this fit within the topic of this paragraph?
• How does this connect/compare/contrast with my other pieces of evidence near it?
