Future Field Work in New Mexico: The Geosciences faculty are pleased to announce that they have been contracted by the Department of Space Defense (DSD) to conduct a geological and GIS investigation of the Area 51 site near Roswell, NM, including a comprehensive GPR survey. This will be a real team effort and we hope to employ several student field assistants during the project.

Geology Club Asian Potluck & T-shirt Sale: The Geology Club will be hosting an Asian Potluck on Wednesday, April 6 at Noon (until all the food is gone!) in the Majors' Room (SL 332). There is a sign up sheet in the Majors' Room. Club T-Shirts are in and will be sold at the potluck for $10 each. There will be another raffle drawing and everyone who brings food or a friend gets an extra ticket! Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Earth Day Episodes on UEN-TV: April 22 is Earth Day and UEN-TV will be airing episodes focused on and around our earth, such as "Open Sesame: The Story of Seeds," and "Symphony of the Soil." Please see the attached flyer for full information.

YMCA STEM Summer Day Camps: WSU will be hosting YMCA STEM Summer Day Camps in July and August. For pricing and information please see the attached flyer and visit www.ymcautah.org/webersummer for full information.

Free Walk-in Geoscience Tutoring: The College of Science Learning & Testing Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Science Lab Building(SL 229). Students can walk in and receive free tutoring for their Geoscience, Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics and/or Zoology classes. The schedule for the Geosciences tutor, Jason Whittier, is attached.
