Dear Mrs de László,
As I arrived to Paris I had the wish to write you at once and thank you for all the kindnesses you and your

husband have been so good to show us during our London stay. But our first day in Paris was quite troublé from the awful knews [sic] which

reached us just at the Grand Prix. Allthough [sic] they have not been great friends to the Hungarians we pitty [sic] very much their death and pitty [sic] awfully much the four- children.
I was so happy to get such a charming picture from you and your sweet little Johnnie[1] and am thanking you very much for

the beautifoul [sic] roses you so kindly sent me. With our kindest regards from us both to you and your husband.
