Hello, my dear students! I’m very glad to see you after a long summer holidays! I hope you had a good time in summer and have brought unforgetable impressions with you, have you?  It’s no wonder  - you are the pupils of the graduation class already! I expect you are see serious and responsible too. And I hope you are loking forward to starting your English course.

Introduction

(Ознайомлення з метою та завданнями навчання у 7 класі).

This year we are going to learn many interesting topics. We’ll speak about the youth culture and teenagers’ way of life; discuss music, television and radio; learn more about environmental problems and ways of their solving. We’ll get to know facts about science and scientific progress, scientists and their inventions, jobs and working opportunities. We’ll also travel around Britain, and learn more about this wonderful country.

1. The author of the textbook is Oksana Karpiuk.

2. There are  eight units in this pupil’s book. At the end of each section there is a test yourself.

3.  There is appendix at the end of the textbook.

4. There are some sections such as Grammar Reference section/Vocabulary section and Irregular verbs.

5. In Grammar Reference section we can find some grammar rules, In the  Vocabulary section there are some words that we should learn and  at the end of the book there is a table of Irregular verbs.

Today we’ll speak about what  makes a personality and how a position in the family can influence a person’s character. We’ll read and discuss a text concering this topic: besides we’ll learn some new words and practse them in games an dexercises.

1. To my mind it is better to be the youngest child, because he or she always has older brothers and sisters to help. And usually parents and grandparents get the youngest children what they want.
