Preparation

For our meeting on Tuesday

Need help?: Go to “Twitter Essential Training.” This set of tutorials from Lynda.com (http://lynda.umn.edu/) will give you step by step instructions to setup your account and learn the basic features of Twitter.

NOTE: If you strongly prefer not to create an account or use Twitter for our session, you will still be able to follow along and participate in our workshop. However, we ask that you please consider trying Twitter for our session, even if may not want to use it in the future. You can make your account private or even delete it completely following our session.

Everyone: remember to bring your Twitter username and password for our session. Twin Cities participants: you can use a classroom computer or bring your own laptop. Duluth participants: please bring your own laptop to use in our active learning classroom.

PROTIP: Use descriptive and affirmative language to add value to the conversation: why are joining? what do you hope to learn? greet another participant or invite your followers to join you!

PROTIP: Nurture social media connections by sharing good content, adding value to conversations, and giving positive feedback to others
