Special Education and Your Child — Workshops for Parents of Children with Special Needs

OCSB Student Services, in partnership with the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), PIC and CSPA, present an evening of workshops directed to families of children with special needs.  Participants can attend two sessions of their choice. Workshop choices include:

  • Mental Health Supports at the OCSB
  • Assistive Technology
  • Positive Advocacy
  • On My Way - Transitions

Parent Information Meeting - Fentanyl and Opioids

The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB), in conjunction with Ottawa Public Health (OPH), is hosting a public information session aimed at parents to talk about counterfeit drugs found in Ottawa, overdose response, overdose prevention and substance abuse education in our schools.

Staff from Rideauwood Addiction and Family Counselling and Ottawa Public Health, Ottawa Police Services and other community partners will be there to speak and respond to questions.

Summer Camps & International Languages Program

Registration is now open for all 2017 summer camps. Our Continuing & Community Education Department offers a wide variety of exciting camp programs across the city. There is also a FREE summer International Languages program (July 4 - Aug 4) at a number of our school sites for JK - Grade 8 students. 


Summer School 2017

While planning their course selections for next year, high school students should keep in mind that Summer School programs such as Reach Ahead, online Reach Ahead, and Credit Recovery courses are available. The 2017 summer school program runs July 5 - 26 at multiple locations.

Support the Catholic Education Foundation of Ottawa (CEFO)

Join the Catholic Education Foundation of Ottawa (CEFO) for the Twelfth Annual Gala Dinner, Cabaret & Auction. ​This event includes entertainment from CEFO's Children's Theatre Workshop celebrating Canada's 150th birthday through musical theatre. ​All proceeds from the event go towards helping alleviate poverty in schools of the Ottawa Catholic School Board. This unique event sells out quickly and there will be a waiting list, so register early!
