ABASCAL, 53.ESTUDIO

Madrid 10 February 1930 [sic][1]

Very dear friend,

It gave me real pleasure to know that soon you will be in Spain,[2] where you will find good health and rest, and where you will quickly recover thanks to an excellent convalescence under the marvellous sky of Andalusia.[3] As you will stay in Granada for quite some time, and then in Morocco, I am delighted to be almost certain to see you in Sevilla for the celebrations of the Holy Week, as myself, I think, could rest a little at that time, not unnecessarily, after this winter’s intensive work. Write to me to let me know about your peregrinations so that I know where to find you.

I will not fail to send your best to our friend the Marquis de la Vega Inclan,[4] who is very well at the moment and who will be enchanted to see you in Madrid when you go there.

[Page 2]

I can assure you that I make wishes for the rapid recovery of H.R.H. Princess Beatrice,[5] who, at the moment, has the comforting presence of her daughter to her side, Her Majesty the Queen.[6]

My respects to Madame Laszlo, and my kind regards to your children. Believe me, my dear friend, yours sincerely,

Mariano Benlliure
