  1. Show the children how animals grow and change.
  2. Talk about how they have also grown and changed.
  3. Teach the children the song “See What I Can Do.”
  4. Have the children describe how Tom has grown since he was small baby.
  5. Talk to the children about all they have grown since they were infants.
  6. Show the children infants cloth, then compare them to what they are wearing now.
  7. Ask the children the following questions: Name how you grown since you were an  infant? How has growing helped you learn learn new skills? What what would you like to learn to do in the future?
  8. Distribute Activity P. 83.
  9. Have the children draw themselves in the outline provided.

  1. Gather the children around in a circle.
  2. Talk about how they gave grown and changed.
  3. Show baby pictures of the children.
  4. Have the children identify who does the baby picture belongs to.
  5. Have the children play a match game with pictures of baby animals and mother animals.
  6. Distribute Activity P 84.
  7. Have the children make up a story about the pictures that are connected on the page.
  8. The teacher will explain that living things grow and change because that is the way God made us.
  9. Have the children place their handprint construction paper with a poem.

  1. Soak a seed in water.
  2. Gather children around in a circle.
  3. Show them a plastic recycled juice container, soil, and seeds.
  4. Pass around  a large seed such as a lima beans, corn, tomatoes, and basil.
  5. Explain that inside the seed is the food for the baby plant.
  6. Open seed and expose the tiny plant and food inside.
  7. Have the children choose a seed and plant it the juice container.
  8. Ask: What kind of seed did you plant? What do you need to do to take care of the plant? What will happen to the see?
