Mrs. Scharnick’s Educational Path

Elementary School:

Woodview Elementary School  (Grafton, WI)

I wanted to be a dancer when I grew up.

Middle/Intermediate School:

John Long Middle School  (Grafton, WI)

I wanted to be a dancer, so I took ballet, tap, and jazz classes, and joined the dance team.

High School:

Grafton High School

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be but I loved music, so I took piano lessons, accompanied, played in bands, sang in choirs, performed in the musicals and plays, and continued to be on dance team.

Post Secondary Path:

I wanted to become a music teacher, so I attended Carthage College.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Education and an emphasis in piano pedagogy.

I want  to continue grow as a music educator, so I to attend workshops and take class including, completing a certification for Orff Level I and II from Mount Mary University and Kodaly I at Silver Lake College.
