What is iEmulators?

iEmulators is a mobile site that host’s many iOS Emulators/Apps for non-jailbroken users.

Where can I download Emulators?

You can download emulators at iEmulators site.  

Can iEmulator's make this kind of emulator/app?

No, iEmulators is simply a host.  They do not actually make the apps.  They ask Developers or Developers ask them if they can host the apps for easy installation.

How do I install Emulators on my iDevice?

NOTE: iOS 7 Users can simply install these apps with the Date Trick.  (Settings > General > Date & Time > Move the date back by 24 hours.)  Do this before installing the app.  

Don’t forget to change your Date & Time back to normal or your other apps can’t connect to Wi-Fi properly.

NOTE: iOS 8 Users can simply install apps without the Date Trick.  Follow the instructions below.

NOTE:  If you are Jailbroken and have “Appsync Unified” installed from “http://cydia.angelxwind.net”  on Cydia then refer back to the iOS 8’s note. (Above this note)

NOTE: If ANY of your Emulators happen to not open and redirect you back to your Home Screen OR you can't seem to install it, that means that the "Certificate" has been revoked.  iEmulator's Twitter or Site will usually let you know when it's been revoked.  The only solution for those Non-Jailbroken is waiting patiently for new "Certificates" to be renewed.

  1. Go to iEmulators site.
  2. Click on the tab called “Apps”.  
  3. Scroll down and click on the app you'd like.
  4. A popup should appear.  Hit the “Install” button located on the bottom of the popup.  
  5. Wait, and a notification should appear asking if you wish to install the app.  
  6. Tap “Install” and wait patiently.  The app should finish and ask you if you trust the application.  Allow it and you're done.  

How can I have a iEmulators App icon/shortcut on my homescreen?

Go to iEmulators in Safari and on the bottom of your screen, there will be a “Share Button” that looks like a box with an arrow pointing upwards.  Click that, and choose “Add to Home Screen”.  

What kind of Emulators are there for iOS?

What is BuildStore (Paid Service)?

BuildStore is an alternative for downloading and installing Emulators/Apps.  Rather than having Certificates that occasionally expire and must be renewed in order to use your Emulator/App, BuildStore is a $10 one-time pay service that provides Signed Emulators/Apps which will last up to 1 year.  

Thus your Emulator/App will not stop working and you don’t have to worry about any problems whatsoever.  OR you can just Jailbreak and never have to worry about paying $10 every year.  

What iOS versions work on BuildStore?

Any iOS version.  ie: iOS 8.3+

How can I install Emulators without Jailbreak or BuildStore orXcode?

Your only option is to wait patiently for a new Certificate to be renewed.

Can I get BuildStore for free?

No.  BuildStore requires payment via PayPal/Credit Card.

Can I use iTunes credit and transfer it to BuildStore?

No.

Can I share my BuildStore account?

No, you are limited to only 1 device.

What does the "M" stand for?  I've seen some users have it next to their username.

The "M" stands for Moderator, these users moderate the room and help users.  

How do I become a Moderator?

You can become a Moderator by being respectful and following the rules we have posted.  An in-depth explanation is available in the FAQ.  Even if you followed all the rules and are respectful, you might not become a Moderator.  

But, the main way we will try to appoint a Moderator status to a user is via Google Forms.  Whenever the time comes, we will publicly announce that we are having sign-ups to determine who will become the new Moderator.

If you simply have the "want" to become a Moderator then you will not become one.  You must earn and show the reason why you are to become one.  Being a Moderator isn't an easy task and for those who think they have it in them to assist us, then we'll be determining whether or not you are worthy.

Where is the Moderator Sign-up form?

Unavailable, sign-ups are closed at the moment.

Why hasn't my Room Post been accepted yet?

If your post hasn't been accepted, then that means the Moderators are currently away at the moment or are debating whether or not to decline the post due to the following:

• Rude/Harmful

• Spam

• Not relating to emulators

• Advertising

nds4ios:

What is nds4ios?

nds4ios is a Nintendo DS emulator for iOS 5 and above.  It features Autosave functions, Dropbox sync and more.  

Known Issues:

It’s slow/laggy.  How can I speed it up?

nds4ios will only run near 60FPS on A7/A8 iDevices.  Such as the iPhone 5S and above.  iDevices below will not perform as well.  Adjusting some settings may help.  

Change your Settings accordingly:

Ultimately, the best way to run games is having the most up to date device.

Where is the Fast Forward feature in nds4ios?

Emulating nds games on iPhone 5's and below produce terrible FPS.  If the Developers can't achieve higher FPS's on lower-end iDevices, how can you expect them to add a Fast Forward button since the feature actually allows the FPS to overcap and produce faster speed.  In short, there is no Fast Forward button.

What happened to the "+" button on the top right corner to download games via in-browser?

The feature was removed in newer version of nds4ios to avoid being taken down by Nintendo DCMA complaints.  

Some games are not working or they are freezing, why?

The emulator wasn't finished, thus it has problems emulating some games.  There is no fix as of now.

Will nds4ios feature MFI (Made for iDevice) Controller support?

As of now, no.  An alternative would be purchasing Blutrol available on Cydia's BigBoss Repo (Supports only iOS 7).  

Can I play GBA games on nds4ios?

No, this app only emulates nds games, not the full system.  Alternatively you can use GBA4iOS to play your GBA games.  

My nds4ios is crashing or won't open?

If ANY of your Emulators happen to not open and redirect you back to your Home Screen OR you can't seem to install it, that means that the "Certificate" has been revoked.

I can’t seem to install nds4ios?

nds4ios can only be installed on iDevices with 512MB of Ram.  iDevices with only 256

MB of RAM cannot run it, therefore you cannot install it or run it.  Or the Certificate expired.  Refer to the "NOTE:" above.

Where is Multiplayer?  Can I trade Pokemon with my friends?  Can I play Mario Kart with friends.  Why not?

nds4ios is relatively slow at the moment and the Developer's had rather worked on making the Emulation as stable as possible then start on Multiplayer.  Multiplayer will not come anytime soon.  

Why does nds4ios/Nitrogen crash when enabling JIT and playing a game?

The JIT option is an experimental option that isn’t meant for users who aren’t Jailbroken.  Originally, if you were Jailbroken then the option would work but currently it doesn’t.  No fix will be coming anytime soon.  

Does nds4ios have microphone/camera support?

No.  nds4ios can only emulate games and does not contain any other functions like Mic, Camera, etc.

Can nds4ios connect to Online Servers to play?

No.

I haven't seen any recent updates for nds4ios? Why is that?

At the moment, nds4ios's Developer's have disbanded and are no longer in development.  However some dedicated Developers have not dropped and are slowly working on it.  Thus the project Nitrogen is their new cover.  

As of now, there has been barely any small updates made on Nitrogen through:

What is Nitrogen?

Nitrogen is nds4ios’s secret cover.  It’s just a renaming of the emulator to hide from problems occurring when Riley decided to host GBA4iOS on angelxwind's site. Nothing more has been added besides the new title and a relocation.

What is GBA4iOS 2.0?

GBA4iOS 2.0 is a iOS emulator developed for iOS 7 & 8 only.  It's developed by Riley Testut.  The Emulator contains many amazing features such as: Cheat Codes, Multiplayer, GBA, GBC, GB support, and MFI controller support etc.  If the following info below cannot help you try: GBA4iOSApp.com/faq/

Known Issues:

Why is Multiplayer/Trading slow?

Riley developed it over non-jailbroken devices, thus limiting himself to only develop without tools needed to help it better emulate.  If Riley developed it on Jailbroken iDevices, that would be a different story.  

My iDevice lags when playing GBA4iOS, why?

GBA4iOS only runs well on iPhone 5 and above.  If your iDevice is a lower model then that is probably the reason.  Recommended to run GBA4iOS on iOS 7 since it actually performs better for older models.

My GBA4iOS lags when I enable Cheats?

Some cheats that you may have inputed/enabled probably has a bad coding and may result in the corruption of your game file or savedata.  To ensure you wouldn’t mess up your game, Riley implemented the feature (somehow) to slow your game and notify you that the Cheat Code isn’t exactly safe and should be replaced with an alternative safer Cheat Code.  

The Solution:  Find and replace the faulty Code with a different Cheat Code.

How come I can't install GBA4iOS 2.0 on my iOS 6 and below iDevice?

Riley decided that he couldn't implement all of the features needed that he thought up of.  So he decided that it would be best to develop on iOS 7 since that's the future iOS.  Alternatively there is a older version of GBA4iOS 1.6.2.  However it lacks many features.  

Does GBA4iOS 2.0 work on iOS 9?

Yes, as of now.

My GBA4iOS crashes and won't open?

My Audio on GBA4iOS is messed up, why?

It may be a glitch, hopefully Riley will fix it in future updates.  We do have a solution though.

My iDevice does not have Multiplayer?

Your device can’t run it properly, therefore Riley disabled it on those Devices that can’t emulate it.  

Alternatively, you can install GBA4iOS 2.1 BETA 2, which happens to allow older iDevices to use Multiplayer but may have issues.

Can you use Multiplayer/Trading for GBC or GB games?

At the moment no.  Multiplayer & Trading only works for GBA games.  

Can GBA4iOS Multiplayer work with other types of GBA Emulators?

Sadly no, GBA4iOS is only able to connect with other GBA4iOS's.

Where is the Official Cydia Source for GBA4iOS?

At the moment, Riley has yet to provide one.  So temporarily, please use iEmulator's to download it.

Where can I download GBA4iOS Skins?

It's currently being developed, it won't be available for awhile.  Please be very patient.  Eventually, the Developer plans to have it hosted on iEmulators and possibly other hosts like BuildStore.

What's the ETA (Expected Time of Arrival) ?

Will this be available for non-jailbroken iDevices?

That is the goal of the emulator.  

What iOS version does N64iOS support?

As of now, (probably) iOS 8 and iOS 9 only.  iOS 7 support will be dropped.

Will there be Multiplayer for N64iOS?

Great!  Do you know any Objective-C?  Ever used X-Code before?  Do you know any knowledge whatsoever about how Emulators work in general?  Or are you only trying to get a Beta of this app and pretend you actually know how to code?  If not, go on ahead to register and fill out a form to see if you can be considered a Developer for N64iOS.  

Will the Developer be offering Beta-Tester's?

As of now, no.  Currently he wants to perfect the emulation but in the later run he might.  Probably not until he finishes the core and it's fully working.

I heard TomMetzger has plans to release an Emulator on the AppStore?

Tom has stated that he may have discovered a way to put a hidden Emulator on the AppStore but we are not completely certain it will be available for download.  The emulator is known as: NES4iOS (NESASE = NES4iOS AppStore Edition).    The disguise will be a Download Manager, free and paid versions are his current motive.  Not much info is given but it’s a side project he’s working on.  Please don’t pester these Developers.

What is PPSSPP?

PPSSPP is a Emulator originally made for PC and many other platforms including iOS 6+.  It has been ported to many mobile platforms such as Android & iOS.  It first showed up on iOS for Jailbroken users.  Eventually it was made for Non-Jailbroken users as well. It comes with Cheat Codes, Upscaling, and MFI support etc.

Why is PPSSPP laggy/glitchy?

You're probably not Jailbroken.  If you're not Jailbroken then you do not have the option to use JIT which makes the game run better & faster.  Also your iDevice might be a older model.  iPhone 5 and above can run it fine.

Why is PPSSPP so fast?

Your Jailbroken and have JIT enabled.  Also you have a 64-bit iPhone probably or just Jailbroken.  

What games can I play on this Emulator?

You can only play ISO & CSO PSP games.  Including Homebrews.  

Can I play PSP Mini's or PS1 game backups?

No.  None of them.  This Emulator does not emulate the entire console itself.  

Where can I download ISO & CSO games or How do I Backup them myself?

Usually you would take your PSP which has a CFW (Custom Firmware)  installed or an alternative program to extract YOUR OWN copy of the game you want.  But you can also download them on websites, ONLY if YOU OWN it.

How can I use a non-official MFI controller for PPSSPP? (Jailbroken)

How do you use Multiplayer on PPSSPP?

A explanation won’t be able to cover all of the info to show you how to set this up.  Therefore I will avoid this question all together for the time being.  But yes, you can have Multiplayer on PPSSPP and another PSP or PC.

How do you use CWCheat on PPSSPP?

Settings > System > Cheats > Enable Cheats

Run your game and it will create files to help you use your cheat codes.

PPSSPP Cheat File Directory: /var/mobile/Documents/PSP/Cheats

Inside contains “.ini” files, use a text editor to open them like “Notepad” on your PC.

Copy and Paste the cheats you want inside.

Open your game and pause it.

To the left should show a option called “Cheats”, open that and you are able to Enable/Disable any cheat you’ve placed inside the .ini file.

RetroArch is a Multi-Core Emulator capable of playing numerous numbers of consoles and even video file decoding.

Where can I get ROMs/Games for RetroArch?

My RetroArch's screen display is out of place? (iPhone 6/6+)

You're probably Jailbroken and have installed "Upscale"/"LittleBrother", changing your resolution.  Currently RetroArch doesn't support Upscale/LittleBrother at the moment.  The only solution is changing back to your default resolution or try manually adjusting your display position in RetroArch's settings.  

OR

You are using an iPhone 6/6+.  At the moment RetroArch has not been updated to fit on these screen devices when emulating the game display.  Please wait patiently until it has been fixed.

My control layout is messed up?

Tap the Reload button and that should fix the problem.  There is no official fix since RetroArch has not fixed that issue for a long time.

Failed to load content?

Your game files probably aren't in your RetroArch's folder.  Or you downloaded them but didn't extract it.  It's also possible that you selected the wrong core to use on a game.  

If your file looks like .7z then that means that it is not extracted yet.

Where is Multiplayer for RetroArch?

Currently, there is none.  No info has been released as to whether or not there will be Multiplayer for RetroArch.

What is Provenance?

Provenance is a multi-platform emulator that is capable of providing high-quality, seamless, almost-perfect emulation of games for GBA & SNES.

What is the URL Scheme for Provenance?

There is none.  The developer didn’t include this feature.  (However, in the near future, plans may be made to be added).

What is Homebrew Indie Games?

Homebrew Indie Games is Provenance but re-skinned and changed to have a different UI.  It was stolen and submitted on the AppStore for a limited time.  Eventually, Apple removed the emulator.  The person sold the emulator for a fee and made profit off of the developer James Addyman (@jasarien).  

Please refrain from using Homebrew Indie Games unless you understand that this is actually Provenance.  And if you wish, tell the developer a thank-you for his work on Provenance.
