See What I Saw!

Discover and Exploration

Week 3

The preschool-aged child is ready to research, find out more, or explore and discover.  Asking the child to broaden his or her understanding and experience of moving a ball in a way other than bouncing or throwing it opens up new play possibilities. Through repeated exploration experiences, the child can develop the concept that every object has unlimited possibilities for exploration. Becoming aware that an object can be used in many ways allows the child to problem solve- trying new things, making errors and learning from the total process. The child can then transfer this explorer attitude to other Kindermusik activities. This is true ownership of learning and becomes a lifetime tool.

Imagination is more important than knowledge,

for while knowledge points to all there is,

imagination points to all there will be.”

-Albert Einstein

Just imagine that your computer, iPad, or cell phone had the ability to “upgrade itself,” and all you needed to do was to play with it and you would get a newer and newer version every time, with BRAND NEW PARTS and IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY.  AMAZING!  That’s what playing with your child brings to your child at this age!  If children play the Kindermusik way, their brains develop and their ability to problem-solve grows.  If YOU play with your child, they develop exponentially.  What a gift you are giving your child that will last a LIFETIME!”

HOME ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS

1) Home Activity #3:  "I am a discoverer.  Did you know that?”

2) Please read Cognitive Profile of the 3-5 year-old

3) Continue to listen to your Class Music

This gives your child comfort and familiarity, which allows for growth & development in a new environment.

4) Please try to arrive 10 minutes before class to allow time for a potty stop and transitioning.  Be prepared to enter a few minutes PRIOR to class time. There is a MARKED difference with children who enter together and have plenty of time for transitioning, and those who arrive as the class is about to begin or after it has begun.

5) New to Kindermusik? Here are your First Class Documents

6) Mark Your Calendars - 2025-2026:
