TELL CONGRESS: CALL THE VOTE TO STOP THE WAR ON IRAN
In just under a month, Trump’s illegal war on Iran has already resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent women, men, and children – notably the nearly 200 schoolchildren killed by US-dropped double tap bombs in the first days of war – with no clear end in sight.
The time to uphold the Constitution, to protect lives, to prevent further chaos, and to end this war is NOW.
Not in two weeks. Not in a month. NOW.
It’s an insult to all of us Americans who oppose this war for Congress to be dragging their feet on this unfolding humanitarian crisis and as more war crimes are being committed.
While they’re all enjoying their spring recess, civilians are being killed, hospitals, schools, and apartment buildings are being reduced to rubble, and critical civic infrastructure is being ruined.
It’s time to call up the War Powers Resolution vote. It’s time to end this war.
We won’t accept any politicians rubberstamping endless wars that the vast majority of Americans oppose.
We won’t accept our sons and daughters being sent to war to kill Iran’s sons and daughters.
We need Congress to leverage their power and end this war.
We’re done waiting for Congress' conscience to catch up with the rest of ours. Americans – across the country and political spectrum – oppose this illegal war. It needs to end NOW.
Take action now - contact US House members and tell them to get back to work immediately to end this war!
Here’s a sample script you can use in calls to congressional leadership and/or your own members. Feel free to make this your own!
“Hi [Representative]. My name is [YOUR NAME] and I live in [YOUR STATE/YOUR DISTRICT]. I’m calling to demand that Congress act now to end the war on Iran.
Americans across the country and political spectrum do not support this illegal war that is not only putting innocent civilians in Iran at risk, but which may also now include a ground invasion putting the lives of US troops at risk.
Congress alone holds the constitutional authority to declare war, yet the Trump administration has acted unilaterally. The time to rein him in is NOW.
While you’re enjoying your spring recess, we’re spending billions to drop bombs on Iranian schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, and civic infrastructure – killing thousands and putting millions at risk.
We know there are enough votes in the US House to call up the War Powers Resolution. It has both Democratic and Republican support. There are not excuses to not do this immediately.
Waiting another 2 weeks is morally unacceptable. The war needs to end NOW and you need to act to do so.
Congress has both the power and the obligation to act: oversee military operations, ensure proper authorization, prevent further escalation, and uphold the rule of law.
I urge you to take these responsibilities seriously and respond NOW. End the war on Iran.”

TELL CONGRESS: NO WAR ON IRAN
Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran has already killed U.S. servicemembers and thousands of civilians, while escalating conflict across the Middle East. The American people do not support another endless war. Congress has the authority — and obligation — to act.

“Hi [Senator/Representative]. My name is [YOUR NAME] and I live in [YOUR STATE/YOUR DISTRICT]. I’m calling to demand that Congress act now to end the war on Iran.
Congress holds the constitutional authority to declare war, yet the Trump administration has acted unilaterally, endangering American servicemembers and civilians in Iran and across the region.
The American people do not want another endless war. We have seen the human, moral, and financial costs of unilateral military interventions. History cannot be allowed to repeat itself.
We refuse to accept a reality where we are again sending our sons and daughters abroad to kill the sons and daughters in countries that pose no imminent threat to us. We refuse to accept a reality where our tax dollars are being used – rather than to build sustainable communities where families thrive – to drop bombs on schoolchildren, on hospitals, and on residential buildings and markets. We refuse to accept this war.
Congress has both the power and the obligation to act: oversee military operations, ensure proper authorization, prevent further escalation, and uphold the rule of law.
I urge you to take these responsibilities seriously and respond NOW. End the war on Iran.”
