Background:
born at sea as a pirate, matt traveled acrossed the seas with his parents learning bits about the world and amassing wealth for them before being left at hope harbor once he was a young teen in a small shack pillaged by his parents because they deemed there adventures were becoming too dangerous for him, leaving him with only a small fortune just enough for him to figure everything out himself. over the years hes forgotten about his parents and the memory of them.
growing up as a pirate matt had a knack for stealing and pickpocketing so he would resort to stealing from the local village to eat and even stole some electronics and sports equipment like a gaming console and hockey kit to entertain himself, around this time he would also adopt a pet cat who had been rummaging in his trash which he named nolegs.
one day matt left his shack with nolegs to steal some food and stumbled into 2 adventurers named natalie and lance who were planning on entering a cave containing a sealed calamity with another adventurer they mistake for him. apon reaching the calamity akron, matt accidentally breaks the seal and nearly got himself and the rest of the party killed but managing to survive the ordeal with only there power sapped. after messing up, matt decides to take it apon himself to adventure with the rest of the party to defeat the calamity and right his wrong. along the way, matt found plenty of swords that he started to collect and treasure, growing attached to them and sparking his love for swords. after a long and treacherous adventure they reach akron and managed to slay him, becoming legendary adventurers for defeating the calamity all by themselves and saving the world, having a great time adventuring around with natalie and lance and fighting along side them he decides to leave his sedetary life behind and decided to travel with his new friends for more adventures.

Attributes and Stats
matt from his time of adventuring became a beast of combat, being the main damage dealer and meat shield of the group he hits like a truck and eats damage like a tank. what he lacks in magic he more than makes up for it in physical stats, being able to take a heavy beating before being knocked down.
Magic Capabilities
despite lacking in magic hes still is able to perform some magic, having a affinity for water and earth magic and to a lesser extent ice, fire and poison. he manifest it at his foes feet in the shape of a blade or spike. he eventually learnt how to cast holy magic from his love for swords, manifesting a massive sword to pierce his foes. however he mostly uses magic for buffing himself and his parties physical strength to deal more damage to his foes.
Limit Break
If beaten up badly enough or push to his limit (hehe). hes able to perform a ultimate attack, slashing at his foes multiple times dealing massive damage.
Quick Swapping
matt also learnt how to quickly swap between weapons and equippment in combat, being able to swap swords to exploit elemental weaknesses of enemies to deal even more damage to his foes.
Matts Swords:
over his time of adventuring, matt had amassed over 50 unique swords, however due to a majority vote matt had to sell almost all of them since the party didnt like waiting 30 minutes every morning for matt to pack all of them up before leaving. despite this, matt still owns 3 swords he cherishes (well, atleast most of them) as if they were his children.
Heavens Gate
matt’s signature and more treasured sword, if matt had a favourite child it would be this sword and he wouldnt even hide it. Being a holy sword, it boosts matts effectiveness when casting holy magic and its a factor in how he learnt how to use holy magic.
Avenger
the first sword matt got his hands on during the start of his adventure to slay akron, with nothing really special about the sword he was originally going to sell it with the rest of his swords but after thinking it over he coulding bring himself to let it go, keeping it more as a keep sake than for combat use.
Soul Eater
matt loves all the swords he owns, but after selling majority of them he definitely found a least favourite sword. while the soul eater is a fine blade that turns matt from a tank to a glass orbital cannon with how destructive it makes him, it turns his durability to that of paper. when trying to sell the sword not a single person wanted to buy it off him, from those who seeked great power to cursed artifact enjoyers not a single person even dared touching it. few days after selling his swords matt tried to bury it and leave it behind but it somehow managed to cross his path again and deeming it to be bound to him until death. he reluctatly kept it, only using it for desperate situations. if heavens gate was the favourite child this would be the unwanted child.
