Doodle Days

Create 4 pages of doodles, play have fun, explore. Work at your art area at home and play music while you work.

Trash to Treasure

Gather wrappers, raid your recycle bin and create a collage that utilizes a distinct color scheme, pattern and visual texture.

Portrait Practice

Ask a family member or friend to pose for you. Draw numerous gestural (quick sketches ) from different angles. Refer to the handout that I gave you but draw from life. Create a series of drawings of the face.

Figure Drawing

Practice drawing the figure. Refer to the sheet that you glued into your sketchbook. Draw 10-15 sketches of the figure.

After practicing create a drawing of a figure from life. Ask a friend or family member to model for you.

You will show all of the sketches and the final drawing of one figure for class critique.

Spooky Story

Select a Halloween poem, story or mystery. Write or print out the story and attach to your sketchbook.

Illustrated Spooky Story

Select the strongest idea and bring in a complete drawing of the Halloween story or poem. This should be a well developed drawing that illustrate the story.
