A BALANCED BRAIN: COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT

HOME ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS
1) Our Home Play Theme this week is COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT: Balanced Brain Fun - Break those three planes!
- If You’re Happy and You Know It: Clap, Pat Your Bottom, Stretch High & Low. Three planes are crossed
- Pull out some Handmade Drums (Empty Can, Fry Pan and Wooden spoons, etc) and beat along to the French Folk Tune: Both hands (coordinated bilateral), Alternating Hands or Feet (Alternating Bilateral), and then pat and clap (Cross-lateral fun)
- "Ring Around the Rosey" has the perfect opportunity for bilateral, alternating bilateral and cross lateral fun!
- Walking in circle
- Dropping to ground
- Pointing and moving hand in circle
- Jumping UP
- Continue to Sing Sing Sing along with your Class Music!
