Weekly Artist Rental Information for Kitsumi

Hi guys, thank you so much for your interest in renting my art services for the week. :) Here’s a bit of an outline of what to expect.
Please read the whole document before contacting me!!
Q: What is a weekly artist rental?
A : You get a single character, digital artwork each weekday, five total! Extra characters, traditional medium, backgrounds can be added for the additional fees listed below. Format is 8.5 x 11 portrait or landscape size, print res.
Q : Ok, I’m interested! What are the details?
Step 1 : Please email me at kitsumi.art@gmail.com with the week you are interested in. By emailing me it states you have read everything in this document, and agree to abide by them. Send me questions in that same email if you have them!
Check the schedule located below for open slots.
I will reply with a confirmation of the date.
Do not send payment or deposit until I confirm.
Step 2) A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at least a month before
your week begins, to secure your slot reservation. Since I am just starting this, we can disregard this rule but payment should be made in full the week before I start. When you send payment via square, do not put descriptions or any text in the email that is also cc: square. I will reply and then reply to that email just between the two of us.
Step 3) Pay in full, two weeks before your week via square or google cash. When you send payment via square, do not put descriptions or any text in the email that is also cc: square .At this time, please email me a description of what you would like to see each day, including references. When you send me this, use a list to keep them organized by day (but in the same email). Sometimes setting up references takes me the most time, if you can keep things short and simple this would be very much appreciated.
Please follow this format:

I will now respond with a final notice of amount due, and any questions I might have. If I do not receive all five ideas, references, and payment in full before your week begins, your week will be considered forfeit. I will try to send a reminder, but it is up to you to hold up your end of the deal!
Step 4) I will reply with my thoughts if there are any issues. If there aren’t any, I will send you the total. Please pay in full at this point!
Step 5) Arting begins!! For five days in a row, I will post a new piece
of art for you on FA or weasyl. The low-res image will be
posted. (see Step 5) Due to the nature of these commissions, I cannot
send preview sketches, or make edits on work after it has already been
posted, for any reason.
Step 6) Once your week is over, I send you an email containing all the
-hi-res versions of the art posted, suitable for printing. If you requested traditional artwork, I will send you a quote for the cost of shipping.
Q : How much does this cost?
A : Prices start at $75 a day, or $375 for the week. This price is a discount from my usual single character prices of $85! So it is a quantity discount. :) A non-refundable deposit of
$100 is due when we agree on a week that will work for you.
Other charges include :
Extra Character(s) : +$50 per character per day, limit 3 characters total per day
Backgrounds : +$50+ per bg per day, depending on complexity.
Traditional Media : +$40 for 8.5”x11, +$25 for 6” x 8”. I work in watercolor, with india inking!
Livestreaming your artwork : +$20 a day. I stream on tigerdile with digital art only, and this would likely be done in the morning, because I will do sketch streams in the evening occasionally. However there is the option of recording, so I can do that if you can’t make the stream.

These are discounts off the base price and additional charges per day. Occasionally I might do specials as well, so keep your eyes peeled. :)
Q: Can I pay in installments?
A: Yes! In order to pay in installments, I must know what you’d like me to draw
for your week ahead of time, BEFORE you start making payments.
When paying with installments, the $100 non-refundable deposit will be
considered your first payment. Payments can be made weekly or biweekly,
and the amount per payment period can be negotiated. All payments are non-refundable.
Your entire week must be paid off before your week starts! If you have any questions or need clarification, please let me know.
Q : Can I rent for more than one week?
A : Yes you can. Just indicate which weeks you’d like, and as long as they’re
available, you can reserve as many as you would like based on the details above.
Q : If I would like traditional work, will I receive the originals?
A: Yes. Originals will get sent out the following Monday.
Q: Will you ever sell prints of my commissions?
A : That depends. Ideally if I do love the artwork that I created for you and I feel that it would do well as a print, I would like to. If a piece is very personal to you and you’re not comfortable with the idea of it being sold to the general public, I will ask if I can re-color or change some features/other elements so they are not recognizable as your characters. If I don’t hear from you on the matter, I will assume that it’s okay with you for me to sell prints. It is important to note that while I will honor any request to not sell prints of your commission, I still retain full rights to the work. In general, all artists have full rights of their artwork. If you’d like to purchase the rights to the work, that can be negotiated.
