Narrative: Dave said he has lived in the area for 24 years and worked as a project manager for the development of the Delphi portion of the Monon Trail. He said he would go to the Monon High Bridge as a child and he knows a lot about the bridge. He said the bridge is 852 feet long and 65 feet above the water and that he’s crossed it many times.

Dave learned of the girls disappearing at 7:30 pm on the 13th and he called the Carroll County Sheriff's Office a few days later to let them know he was on the trail and bridge on February 13th, 2017.

Luttrell asked if he arrived at 3:15 pm and he said that sounded right but it could have been 2:30 but he wasn't paying attention to time. He really wasn’t sure when he arrived. Maybe sometime between 2:00 and 3:00, probably stayed for more than an hour.

Dave said when he parked at the Mear's entrance there were no other cars there. He walked to the MHB and “just enjoyed the day,” remarking the weather was exceptionally nice.

Dave said he went to the High Bridge to take pictures and estimated that he was on the bridge for fewer than 30 minutes. He said he saw a couple when he was leaving the bridge heading back to the parking lot but that he could have seen them before, he just wasn’t sure.

He used a digital camera to take pictures of the bridge and water and the only people he saw were the man and woman. He presumed they were a couple.

On his way back to his vehicle, Dave was surprised at the amount of cars in the parking lot. He recalled a large man with a bright orange jacket shouting “have you seen 2 girls?” and he told the man no. Dave did not see any pedestrians on 300 N when he left sometime before 4:00 pm.

Dave said he did not hear any screams or unusual noises while he was on the bridge.

When 2 FBI agents and an Indiana State Police officer went to his home to interview him a few days later, Dave gave them the SD card from his camera.
