Dear Mr de Laszlo,
My father received your letter this morning & wanted me to answer at once as he is so busy today. The exhibition of belgian art which he has organized in the Jeu de Paume is to open next friday & he is working awfully hard till that day.[1]
Of course the beautiful portrait which

you painted of him [110437] will be quite ready to be sent to London, when the shipping agency comes to take it on the 15th.
As for his name on the catalogue, he says it may be put Léonce Bénédite, conservateur du Musée du Luxembourg & du
Musée Rodin, Paris — if it pleases you.[2]
I’m afraid it will not be possible for him to go to London while your exhibition will be held, & he will regret it deeply, but we will

all be so glad to see you when you come to Paris next month. We expected your arrival all these last weeks.
With our best greetings to Mrs de Laszlo & yourself
Very sincerely
Rosa Bénédite
