HMPS Transport Handbook

This handbook will cover everything about Transport

If you have any questions feel free to DM a member of Transport Command

Introduction to Transport

His Majesty's Transport Division deals with transporting dangerous criminals from numerous Police Departments around the city. It is a high risk job due to the crime rate within CMG. It also is an important division because without them prisoners will not be able to be transported.

Ranks within Transport:

Transport Mentor

Transport Mentors are responsible for training Prison Officers for all sorts of Transport related trainings e.g Escort Training, Basic Transport Training. Without this rank there would not be any transport units and no transport division. You can obtain this rank by becoming a Senior Driver then applying with the appropriate form linked in #transport-info.

Senior Driver

Senior Driver is the highest rank you can obtain via promotions. At this rank you are trusted to drive all vehicles in the Transport Fleet. You are also eligible to apply for Transport Mentor.

Experienced Driver

Experienced Driver is the secondest highest rank you can achieve. You will be able to drive the Prison Bus. As an experienced driver, you are able to take glock trained guards with you even if they are not apart of the transport division.

Junior Driver

This is the first rank you will be granted within the Transport Division, this allows you to drive the Prison Van and you will be trusted with transporting prisoners for the first time.

Assistant Driver

Assistant Drivers are co-drivers that aren’t within the Transport Division. They are allowed to tag along as long as the driver is a Experienced Driver or higher but they must be glock trained.

Recommended Routes

The following routes are recommended by Transport Command due to it being a simple way of transportation if you do not have some already in mind. Please do note you are free to deviate from these routes (But not go fully off course, go another direction) Any misuse of vehicles by any driver will be punished!

To and From Mission Row:

To and From Vespucci PD:

Emergency Situations

In any emergency situation you want to panic as soon as possible, it is easier to explain an early panic later on than it is to panic late and be caught out quickly and losing a prisoner.

Things to look out for:

  • Any car driving behind you that can clearly go faster
  • Any consistent contact from a car on the route back
  • Anyone asking questions about who is in the vehicle

If these are not met just use common sense on if you think someone around you poses a threat

Anyone with a firearm pointed at you can make you value your life this includes but is not limited to releasing the prisoner and getting out of the van, they are not allowed to take the vehicle your in, the only exception to this rule is if pd are taking hostage negotiations for your life, this is likely if you have a gang member on your transport

Escorts

Escorts are vital to ensuring the safety of everyone involved from PD to prison, they are only able to be done by PD or by escort trained officers. PD escorts will only usually happen when you are transporting a high level gang member to prison however they may offer an escort on occasion with normal criminals.

The escort driver will act as your guide to the prison, blocking off exits and ensuring the road ahead is clear for you, however they will assist you in any way necessary such as repairing the truck or assisting with any takeover attempts from other criminals

                                    Rules

  • Speed limit in the city is 50mph and on motorways is 100mph. You must follow these speed limits or you can receive punishments. You can break these rules in emergency situations as spoken in Emergency Situations

  • Make sure for every transport done to log it, even if unsuccessful in getting any new inmates. You can log by doing /log in the HMP discord server.

  • To carry out transport, there must be one prison guard in the cell block. If the person leaves you’re expected to return back to the prison as no inmates should be left unattended.

  • Inmates can only be transported if they have 10 months or more. - (Feel free to remove 5 months during the transportation if their behaviour was exceptionally well).

  • Transports may be done from any and every location (outside redzones/drug locations) as long as there is a transport call. If there is no transport call, we are able to travel to both Mission Row & Vespucci Police Department for pickups. You can wait at these stations for up to 15 minutes.

  • You should never exit the Van/Truck when in an unsecure location such as outside of prison grounds (City rules still take place, so value your life at all times).

  • Keep all doors locked, ensure doors are locked when exiting the vehicle.

  • Don’t get involved with situations outside of Prison grounds, we are not Police officers. This is for them to deal with due to being outside of our jurisdiction.

  • Ensure that you leave 15 minutes between transports per person; this is so that we’re not driving to and from the station repeatedly and leaves a chance for others. If you are transporting whilst on cooldown, punishments will be given out.
