Sons of the Veld

This guide uses Advanced Blocks and all garrison placements are placed to launch one attack after the other Each new attack should be made after the battle music of the previous attack ends (or 3.75-4s). Clicking to attack the next target prior to the battle music ending may run the risk of the general getting intercepted. Most of the camp configurations and layouts are original, but obviously may be similar to other guides. Remember, all Blocking Generals must be the Tavern purchased generals!

2 Vets, 1 BHG and 4 Tavern Generals + Cannons are required to run this guide. An additional BHG or two are recommended otherwise you might have to wait for generals to recover.

This guide is not for the unwary.  If you have not yet ran an Outlaws + an RB or DB using my guides, you may want to try those first.  I would like to thank OneOldMan for being my Beta guide tester.  This guide in particular required someone willing to place his cajones on the table.  Also, Sanii made some Videos when he tried this guide out, links to them are included for your viewing pleasure (used with his permission).

Map overview - (excellent overview map taken from another guide so camp #’s are consistent.  I’ll replace it with my own someday; sooner if the original creator cares)

Placement for Triple Block/Quad Kill in Green  (Upper) Zone (Camps 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10)

Note: Be very careful not to launch the next attack before music ends.   Be sure to attack in the order listed below.  Note: There are seven (7) generals in play on the attack!   It might be easier to think of this as 2 separate block setups (there is even a delay of 15 seconds between them).

Setup for Triple/Quad

(Lower picture)

*Block* Camp 5 (b1): 160 Thugs

Tavern General: 70E  125C (195)

Camp 10 (g1): 100 Guard Dog, 80 Ranger

Any 200 General: 84R 116S

Veteran General: 84R 2E 100C 63XB 1K

Leader Camp 4 (v2): 1 O.E.B., 80 Stone Thrower, 50 Thug, 50 Guard Dog

Veteran General: 149R 1E 100K

(Upper picture) Note: Wait 15 seconds before starting this next set of attacks.

*Block* Camp 1 (b2): 80 Stone Thrower, 80 Thugs

Tavern General: 3E 196C (199)

*Block* Camp 7 (b3): 80 Guard Dog, 80 Ranger

Tavern General: 16S 70E 4C (90)

Leader Camp 2 (g2): 1 O.E.B.,  1 Skunk, 60 Thug, 60 Guard Dog

Battle Hardened General: 87R 33M/S/E/K 80K

Note: There is not enough time to use a Tavern general for this Leader kill.  If you do not have BHG available, then you can kill Upper Camp 3 + Leader Camp 4 prior to doing this block and free up a  Vet  for this camp (or work out a 200 general kill for Leader Camp 4 instead... as more time is available for it; losses will be higher.)  But if you have the required 2 Vets, then you probably have a BHG.

Leader Camp 11: 1 Metal Tooth, 60 Guard Dog, 60 Ranger, 60 Roughneck (position your garrisons to march in a straight diagonal line between camps 9 and 12;  don’t position the sacrifice garrison to be in the way of the quad/double block.  See pict above.)

Any general: 60C, lose them.

Veteran General: 99R 1E 82C 15XB 53K

Placement for Quad Block/Double Kill (Upper Camps 12-17)

Video by Sanii - In this video, Sanii also demonstrates what can happen when you load to a general with troops for a block(in this case Camp 13 (b3), without fully unloading all the soldiers used in the previous block.  I’m told he did this strickly for educational purposes.

Note:  Leader Camp 11 must be down before you perform this Quad Block/Double Kill.

---------------------------------------

Move Vet(s) to take out Lower Camps 14 + 16.  Now is a good time to invite 2nd player to tag.

Leader Camp 16: 2 O.E.B.,  1 Skunk, 50 Guard Dog, 50 Roughneck

Veteran General: 89R 27E 134K

Leader Camp 14: 1 O.E.B.,  1 Skunk, 50 Ranger, 50 Roughneck

Veteran General: 49R 2E 92C 106XB 1K

Do the first wave for Camp 12.  Load up and place Vet for final attack of Camp 12 and then load up and send back your garrisons.  If your tagger targets bottom Camp 10, a 1r hit will work.

Kill Camp 12.

As noted and confirmed by OOM, there is room to stagger the calvary wave and the Final attack  for Leader Camp 12.

Leader Camp 12: 1 Metal Tooth, 60 Guard Dog, 60 Ranger, 60 Roughneck

Any general: 60C, lose them.  Veteran General: 99R 1E 82C 15XB 53K
