Cache Water Polo’s Spring Season 2026

Players & Parents,

Welcome to Cache Water Polo’s Spring Season for 2026! Please find information related to this year’s spring season below. If you have any questions, please ask or visit our website.

Preseason practices will begin the week of February 16th, with times and locations outlined on our calendar (located on our website). Games will be held every other weekend for 12 weeks, primarily in the Ogden and Salt Lake City area from possibly mid-February until mid-May.

Club communication will be conducted using an app called “Slack.” Once initial registration is complete, you will be added. Depending upon which team(s) your child is assigned, you will then be automatically added to additional channels. This allows for communication with team coaches, and other team parents and players.

PLAYER REGISTRATION

  • Registration is now open. Register here!
  • All players will pay a $150 registration fee (due 31 Jan) plus their club dues (due 28 Feb).

Note 1: Dues will increase $50 if not paid by 28 Feb.

Note 2: Please be advised that if there is only an 18U Boys/Girls team, dues will be at the 18U rate.

Our goal this year is to have the least amount of money out-of-pocket for families. To accomplish that, we’ve provided you with an opportunity to sell oranges to offset the cost. Dues will be paid by February 28th, after orange sales. The amount of dues you have to pay will be determined by how many cases of oranges you sell. If you elect not to participate in the orange sale, you will be required to pay the full due price. See the tier chart below to determine how many orange cases you will need to sell to offset your dues:

POTENTIAL ADDITIONAL COSTS

  • All players - USA Water Polo Membership ($55). Details are on the registration link at the top of the first page. Note: membership is valid for one year.

  • Any additional games played outside the league will be an additional cost. Examples include: Summer Games (Cedar) or Mountain Madness (Boise).

  • Playing “Up”: If your player is offered the opportunity to play up (e.g., a 14U player plays up to the 16U/18U team), the cost to play at that level will be required and initiated following registration. Note: Please be advised that if there is only an 18U Boys/Girls team, dues will be at the 18U rate.

  • Purchase team gear: You can purchase team gear year-round by visiting our team store at Cache Water Polo Team Store.  Make sure to select your team, “Cache Water Polo.” Note: the one with the Kraken logo.

HS and U14 players: purchase a team suit (around $45 for high school boys; around $85 for high school girls). Note: boys’ and girls’ suits are meant to fit tight so other players can’t grab them during gameplay.

  • Girls:  We wear solid navy-blue suits.
  • Boys: We wear solid navy-blue briefs (speedo) or jammers.

  • USU Parking Pass (optional): approximately $65 (only needed for HS players wanting to park at USU for practices)

  • Gas/Food for tournaments: Varies (carpooling is available to help save money)

POSTSEASON OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Summer Water Polo Camp (June - mid-July): This is for U12, U14, and new players wanting to try the sport. It will be held once a week at the Stang Aquatic Center (Mountain Crest).

  • Junior Olympics (JOs): Our 18U boys team is planning to attend in Texas (July 30 -August 2). The cost is around $600. Historically families spend an additional $800 or so for travel, hotel and food. It’s a great opportunity to travel and compete against teams from around the country. You end up playing a season’s worth of games in 4 days. We see a huge improvement in players skills when they do summer polo and play at JO’s. Please note that all costs must be covered by the player and his/her family.
