NOT A COMPLETE DOC
General Resources:
Links from social media: (some links within the links may be broken bc tumblr purge)
Books of Shadows/Helpful Books:
- Sacred-Text fast link to general bos
- Bucklands Complete Book of Witchcraft (Watch out: this book contains old/not valuable information and some wiccan stuff-you can tell by any mention of the god/goddess, but contains general knowledge on witchcraft like herbs, ritual magic, etc)
- A Practical Guide to Witchcraft (Ignore pages 1-26 because the first 26 pages has way too much misinformation for me to even begin to rip into, this is another good for basics book, but carries outdated views/focuses a lot on wiccan stuff)
- Manual De Los Maestros (Actually really useful, good info to copy in your bos c:)
- http://www.whyte-witch.com/150Spellscopyright.pdf (A bunch of spells, pretty helpful guide-ignore anything about the goddess ofc if you aint about it, you can always replace the wiccan gods with any gods/god of your choice of course)
- Herbal Magick (lots of goddess Wiccan type talk, but otherwise has good foundation of herbs and their nicknames-btw herbs have a shit ton of nicknames depending on a multitude of factors like where you grew up and what not.)
- Scott Cunnigham BOS (hes all about the wiccan stuff, and you’ll have to download bc i couldn’t link this pdf for some reason, and some of his info are outdated, but once you experience and go on practicing you’ll pick up what people don’t do anymore-also it’s rather obvious bc it will seem too old school).
- Scott Cunningham Crystal Gem and Metal Magic (hes kinda sexist in here, wiccan-heavy, just take the bare information and run lol)
- Magic for Love Money and Happiness (you’ll have to download this, good ref guide for how a spell can look like and some spells you can practice once you understand the basics.)
- spellbook of rituals for good and evil (lots of good info for beginners and intermediate witches, wiccan related content and outdated info if any apply-also has some good christian magic related info, ofc any gods can be substituted as well as any prayers, and you can change those prayers to those from your own religion, or maybe replace with a chant you made up)
- Grimoire for the Green Witch (Gotta download yourself, ignore threefold stuff and other wiccan stuff if you’re not about that life, has good information otherwise)
- Scott Cunningham Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs (skip to part two, gotta download yourself, ignore wiccan stuff if you ain’t about it, otherwise most information from the herbs havent changed-if you’re scared of misinfo then the witchipedia has herb information as well but from what i’ve gathered from my own reading he isn’t wrong in his associations of the herbs-very helpful in learning folk names)
- Key of Solomon
Vocabulary:
Divination:
Religion:
Egyptian (kemeticism/kemetic):
Christian:
Celtic:
- Celtic Myth and Religion (you’ll have to download bc for some reason I can’t, it’s very helpful and more modern than most books ive come across for this subject)
- Celtic Literature (again will have to download, filled with literature and old stories of celtic deities and folktales)
Greek:
Wicca: (some books may be not in good standing with other wiccans, some are outdated, but im trusting my wiccan friend on her links lol)
Organizing a Grimoire:
Documentaries:(Be careful, these are biased and typically written from one viewpoint and sometimes it seems like the director of some of these was high on shrooms)
Podcasts: (I haven’t listened to every single episode, and some of their teachings may not align with your own/can say some old views that boils my blood lmao, so take caution.)
