Biography
Madilyn McNamara never quite felt good enough, though what she was pretty damn good at was wrestling. She was the top of her class at her training school.
Her first attempt at breaking out was a complete flop. Though she had succeeded enough to win a championship in her promotion, the promotion a) got her in-ring name repeatedly wrong and b) very quickly folded.
She took a break from the ring, even having a child. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Madilyn continued to feel inadequate, abandoning essentially every venture. She wasn’t a good waitress, or office clerk, or student, whatever it was, she never felt good enough. Perhaps most heartbreakingly, like the woman who walked out on her in her youth. She felt that she couldn’t cut it as a good enough parent to her son.
So, she went back to the one thing she had any confidence she was good at. This time, she swore she’d be someone on the wrestling scene that mattered and would be remembered. She took on the name “Ashlynn Cassidy” and she was going to be UNDENIABLE.
Guess what? She was.
Ashlynn became successful in her career, becoming an Inaugural Champion not only once, but twice. Once in Zion Wrestling (where she also won a tag title, and was the cover star of the company’s first video game) and in Fight! Championship Wrestling. She also became more widely known as part of the previous iteration of the promotion now known as Arcadia. Though, while there she held no championships there, only notable upset victories.
Two or three years on, Madilyn had felt that “Ashlynn” had become bigger than she thought, and quite honestly, around a lot longer than she imagined. She had grown numb, feeling slightly trapped. She knew Ashlynn Cassidy had become significant enough that she didn’t want to burn it all down and start anew. Ashlynn had to live on, she owed it to fans and friends alike.
One fateful 4/20 night, a longtime friend from her old wrestling school gifted her a mysterious gift that separated Madilyn into two beings, both independent from the other, complete with meatsuits.
One would continue on portraying Ashlynn Cassidy, taking on the responsibilities and emotional intelligence that came with being a known public figure.
The other would be driven by pure selfish impulse. It was all about her. Screw everyone else and what they thought, how they felt or what they wanted. The other didn’t owe anyone anydamnthing. The other was free.
Then, along came an old friend, Lena Galante. Lena was able to swiftly turn Willa’s heart back from stone by constantly invoking Madi’s name.
While the Willa persona softened, the Ashlynn one grew resentful. The two separate identity bled into one another until January 2024. Madi made the choice to let them once again coexist, because she knew they could, in one body, with one mind and one heart. Madilyn currently is one half of Rising Star Boulevard alongside Lena Galante. Combined with Ricky Rodriguez, they make up Rise & Shine. As of August 2024, the Ashlynn Cassidy ring name will have been retired. As the last use of it was for Jawbrkr Wrestling.

Madi McNamara
Nicknames: “Miss” (by Lena “Spice” Galante), “Alabaster Heart”
Fighting Out of: the Rise n Shine High Rise
PicBase: Chelsea Green
Colour Code: 86DBBF
Gimmick: A (slightly) toned down version of a persona she called “Willa Stoneheart”. What she wants, she gets. If she wills it, there’s her way. She’s all impulse. She only cares about what she wants and will get it by any means. She is not tied down by anyone else’s expectations, not the fans, not her opponents, not by any moral code. She is cold, and can be merciless. It’s never personal though, she has to do what she has to to make herself happy. Sorry, not sorry. Lena Galante however, has seemingly become the exception. In recent months, their unlikely chemistry softened the Willa side. Perhaps even making her likeable. A tweener at the very least.
Ring Attire: (In addition to the entrance jacket)Black based two-piece attire. They have a yellowy sparkle pattern on them, perhaps similar to stars in the night sky. In elegant handwriting over the chest in a striking pink colour is written “Miss Madi” on the back of both the top and bottoms reads RSB. She wears pink netted sleeves and black boots (designed by Lena Galante) to complete the look.
Theme: Miss Nothing - The Pretty Reckless
Entrance Description:
Inside the arena, the lights fell to a pitch dark and silence filled the air. The big screen lights up with some footage, the sounds of footsteps shattered that silence. Madi McNamara stepped into view and almost instantly she caught sight of something that garnered her attention. She walks towards it, those footsteps steadily echoing as she gets closer and closer. Intrigue showed in her face as she tilted her head to the side. Willa reaches forward and grabs the camera that was filming, picking it up to look at it. A pleased expression flashed across her features. Two words would leave her lips and ring out against the silence.
'Mine now.'
Cutting back to the interior of that arena, “Miss Nothing” by the Pretty Reckless hit with a thunderous effect. Madi McNamara arrived, leaning more toward her Willa Stoneheart persona. She steps out from the back, thick red smoke pouring in all around her. Standing there, basking in it for a moment. As the camera would zoom in closer, she flashed a mischevous smirk, and even winked. Very soon after, she focused her attention down that long ramp and at the ring.
Determination radiated off of her as she began to make her way down the ramp. That ring, square in the middle of the arena, was her sole focus. She heard nothing, no fans, no ring crew, nothing except for that ring. Their reaction, whether they loved or hated her, was drowned out entirely. She stops at the bottom of the ramp, eyes glued to that ring before her. Once more, Willa mouthed those two simple words 'mine now.'
She jolted forward, sliding into the ring and quickly popped up to her feet. She walked around that ring a couple times before coming to a stop in the middle of the ring. The camera focused on the back of that pink leather jacket she wore. Across the top were the words 'Lena X Madi” written over a black star. Beneath the black star, written in gold cursive “Rising Star Boulevard”, mimicking a street sign.
Removing that jacket, she leaned into the ropes, passing it off to a ring attendant. Her intensity was at an all time high and the way she paced showed just how eager she really was to get everything underway.
Strengths
Competent Competitor: A capable, well-rounded fighter. She maintains the same athletic gifts that made her a top-tier performer in the ring, able to hang with or outclass just about anyone.
Ruthless and Relentless: Dangerously driven, when she has a goal in mind, like a win or a title to capture, she has a cold, calculated, killer instinct and is determined to win. Regardless how, or how anyone might feel about how she did it.
Efficient Excellence: She is fast, and wants to work fast.
Weaknesses
Only Fools Rush: She doesn’t work by the hour, her time is precious. So she may grow impatient in a match, and quickly.
Emotional Disconnect: It’s nothing personal, it’s just her business. She might just make some enemies, though.
Pride Cometh: Self-admiration can mean she takes her eye off the ball sometimes.
