Adobe Digital Editions Help Sheet

Upon installing Adobe digital editions for the first time, some users with older computers may get the following error message.

A solution we have found is to install an older version of Adobe Digital Editions.

We suggest version 2.0 which is available from the Adobe website: http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html

If you still get an error message, Windows users can try version 1.7.2 instead, available from here:  http://download.macromedia.com/pub/developer/digitalpublishing/digitaleditions_172.exe

When you do reach the authorization screen, we suggest choosing the option to authorize your computer without an ID.
