Meeting began with remarks by Roger Cauvin. All in attendance gave a brief introduction.

BUSINESS

Ratification of by-laws

Motion was made to adopt the bylaws as written by Rahm McDaniel (Wittstruck second).

Floor was opened to discussion, specifically Article 3.1 Section A Item ii, regarding the phrasing “subscribes to FAN’s Vision Statement”. After discussion, it was determined that with adopted bylaws, there is a mechanism to amend the bylaws later, after the organization has more members.

Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Election of officers

Motion by Rahm McDaniel (Brown second) to nominate Roger Cauvin as President.
Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Motion by Roger Cauvin (Wittstruck second) to nominate Alysha Haggerton as Treasurer.
Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Cory Brown volunteered (Gannon second) for Secretary.
Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Kristen Fox, Frank Harren, Courtney DeGinder, Brendan Wittstruck, Pete Gilcrease and Ricky Hennessey volunteered Director position.
All carried by unanimous voice vote.

Membership and Outreach update

Brendan Wittstruck, Larry Sunderland and Pete Gilcrease discussed ongoing efforts to recruit existing neighborhood associations and help interested groups create new neighborhood associations around the city of Austin.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
