Dear Mr de Lászlò,

Many thanks for your note. The photo has reached this office and I have requested the publisher to send you 3 copies of the Graphic and further copies to the addresses indicated.

It is very good of you to give me an opportunity [the following in French in the original] to say my goodbyes.[1] I shall take the 10.50 Paddington to Taplow and return by the 6.16 as I have to dine in town.

I shall sail on the “George Washington” on Wednesday next.[2]
